If you're Happi (like the polish) and you know it, polish your nails. Woo!

It's one of those things that, we SHOULD know. I mean...it makes sense. Dirty brushes on a clean face equals pimples galore, right?

Right.

Don't forget to clean your make-up brushes on a regular, ladies. This is a task that I have never really been good at, but I'm getting better. In between clean-ups, I like to use baby wipes or make-up wipes.

I'm rocking the red pump!

Red Pump Widget

It's National Women's And Girl's HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. Along with breast cancer, diabetes, and heart disease awareness, I am passionate about spreaking AIDS/HIV awareness. My blog sister and friend Luvvie along with her co-founder Karen have spearheaded The Red Pump Project. Their goal is to get as many bloggers as possible to 'Rock the Red Pump' by posting widgets on their blogs. This will create awareness in the blogosphere for not only bloggers, but the many that read our blogs.

Did you know that women represent 27% of all new AIDS diagnoses, with African-American women accounting for 66% of that group? Awareness, education and protection are the keys!

I would have shown a picture of me rocking my red pump in real life but the genius that is me forogt my sexy and painful hot red pumps. Instead I'm rocking a red folder.

Yeah, don't ask. :) Spread the word, my loves. Tell everyone you know about The Red Pump Project and their initiative. Keep your friends and family members informed. For additional information about National Women's HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, click here.

Y'all stay beautiful!

Four scores and seven years ago (actually it was November of last year but go along with me) I was in need of trying something new. As a beauty blogger, it seems like I am always trying something new, right? But I always end up going back to my favorite products. I was bored. I needed some beauty action.

And then I saw it...

Nothing like a coffin-like item to peek your interest. And the tattoo-lover that is me adored the design and the name of Urban Decay's new liner...

Welcome to another post of Amor de Lacquer....the series all about nail polish and nail care! Send me your requests, suggestions and ideas to Brittany@ClumpsOfMascara.com.

It's been a looooong time since I've indulged in a China Glaze collection. While most of them have been appealing to me, I'm trying to be a little more cautious with my polish purchasing. Sometimes you get to a point where you just have too many of the same color, or something similar, ya know?

But China Glaze got me this time around. Check out the promo pic...

A collection of creams? *faints* Must.snag.all!

So far I've been pretty impressed with Lancome's mascaras. Is this another winner?

Black Women in Hollywood

Post by B On 9:33 AM 2 thoughts
Let's be honest...it's a rarity. As we celebrate Women's History Month, it's important to acknowledge the few but dynamic Black women in Hollywood. The following video brought tears to my eyes. From Queen Latifah to Mary J. Blige, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Kimberly Elise...I am just in awe at presence these women have. I feel as if I know them because their stories on the silver and TV screen have all touched me in some way.

Check out the video from Essence's Black Women in Hollywood Awards Luncheon. Am I the only one that still sees Taraji Henson and thinks Baby Boy? My Auntie has come a long way and I feel like a proud niece! Y'all love how I claim celebrities as my relatives, right? Ha!

What I would have given to attend that event. Next year, y'all. Next year. :)

Enjoy!

Happy Friday, friends! It took long enough but I finally found some inspiration. And I owe it all to NYX's jumbo pencil in Milk. Why didn't y'all tell me how awesome this pencil was? Seriously...where have I been? I've heard of fellow beauty bloggers using this as a base but WOW! I never thought it would make my eye shadow pop the way it did. See!
