What it claims: "Megabrush instantly zooms on 9x the volume in one stroke, without clumps."
The truth: Hey hey!! I like this! As a waterproof mascara, it is a bit difficult to take off but it's not half bad.
What I loved about it: It really separated my lashes. Like amazingly. I love it!
What I didn't like: The brush is a little bigger than I like. And it is a bit flaky, but nothing that I can't handle.
Overall: I am really becoming a huge Maybelline mascara fan. Seriously. XXL Curl Power so far is my HG mascara but the Colossal can easily take that position. It is a really good mascara. I found that aside from getting my lashes "out there", it also helped separating them. Did I experience clumping? Noooope! For $6.99, I can't complain. Big ups to SlvrLips for letting us know about this baby there. I am extremely impressed and recommend this mascara to those looking for volume and length. If you are in dire need of some curl too, I suggest pumping a good eyelash curler on your lashes prior to mascara application. I've heard some people are hatin' on the Colossal because of the unattractive color of the tube, but I think that's a crazy reason to not try something new. This mascara could come in a puke green tube with gray and yellow spots and I wouldn't care. If it works....it works!

I love this mascara. Walgreens had a sale on it for $5.99 (save $1.00) I love the packaging (color). I don't think this is a waterproof mascara...it didn't mention it on the package. I wear waterproof macara all the time it takes a couple of swipes to come off but this mascara it came off easy using my makeup remover.
I'm always looking for a mascara that can curl. Volume is a close second. Thanks for sharing!

Heyy!!! I was expecting Define-a-lash, I wanna know if it´s any good, but I haven´t seen that one here in DR nor Colossal, stores here have a really limited selection/variety. I believe that (except for Great Lash) Maybelline have some of the best cheap mascaras (can´t say how much I love Unstoppable and Sky High curves is really good.)

I'm so glad you reviewed this mascara this week! I saw it in CVS yesterday and need some new mascara (Cover Girl's Lash Blast is my HG) and want to try something. I had HORRIBLE results with Maybelline's Great Lash (I don't get the hype) so I didn't want to spend my money. Thanks to your review...I just might!
I love this mascara and I second the thanks to slvrlips for the heads up! I love the color of the tube - the brightness just puts a smile on my face!
SOLD! I just needed ONE person to say "it's good" and I'd get it. I saw it at CVS, thought about it, then walked away in an attempt to save money but my current mascara is a disappointment and wasn't intended for long term use.

Great review. I'm going to have to try it now. I usually only use Maybeline mascara. Cover Girl has given me the most horrible of eye infections in the past.

I wouldn't mind the chunky yellow tube either, 'cause when it comes to mascara, I only care about how well it performs really. Glad you've found (another) one that you like. ;-)
I'm eager to read your opinion on Clinique's Naturally Glossy, but you should definitely get it in Jet Black (01). If you need a natural look, this mascara is absolutely perfect.

YAY! I love the mascara...only thing is, I think I got some in my eye last night and it was way waxier than other brands, I had to flush my eye out! (I know, I'm a clutz and shouldn't have gotten it in there in the first place!) p.s. I happen to love the color of the tube, I think it's fresh!
It works really well for adding volume, but it's definitely not waterproof. The brush is a bit clumsy, but the result is good.
