Happy Monday, beautiful people! Can you believe that Christmas is next week? Have you snagged your gifts yet? Not me! I have never been a good gift giver. Perhaps lack of funds? Who knows..
Price: 5 out of 5 (a little less than $7 from Ulta)
Packaging (Brush Wand): 1 out of 5
Overall: 3 out of 5
What it claims: ” Get a dramatic look with 2000 Calorie Mascara — it volumizes lashes up to 200%. Water resistant and smudge-proof hypoallergenic formula is suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers. With curved brush applicator.” (source)
The truth: Dramatic? Not so much!
What I loved about it: It gave a little length to my lashes. But nothing that my current HG lengthening mascara can’t do.
What I didn’t like: The flipping wand was the worst thing I have ever seen Seriously..it was a clumpy mess and maybe it’s just be but I’m not a big fan of curved brushes. I don’t even see the point of them.
Overall: For starters, the picture I have listed is not the the EXACT same one as the one I purchased. In fact, after doing further research, I found that Max Factor has a number of 2000 Calorie mascara. The one I really wanted to try out was the 2000 Calorie Lash Extreme plumper. This mascara, I found to be just “okay”. I was actually a little disappointed. It wasn’t BAD, but I guess I didn’t understand what it was supposed to do. The volume was just so so. I didn’t experience and flaking throughout the day and the clump factor was down a bit. Definitely nothing to brag about.
Would I recommend it?: Not at all. I would hold out for the Lash Extreme plumper. Click the link below to visit the video review.
