Urban Decay Urban Ammo Eye palette

Ohmigoodness, I can’t believe how little I have talked about Urban Decay here at Clumps of Mascara. What a tragedy considering that UD is one of my favorite brands. I mean, I SWEAR by their eyeliners. I did cartwheels when I first discovered the Primer Potion. And I wanted to marry the eye shadows when I first saw them.

Urban Decay is sheer awesomeness and although they aren’t the cheapest cosmetic brand out there, they are unique and innovative.

I always wanted this palette but never got around to purchasing it. A 15% off coupon from Sephora Beauty Insiders as well as a gift card, however, had to running to Sephora on a lunch break. How beautiful and versatile are these colors?

Sin does well as a browbone color on brown skin! Look out for some of my looks using this palette.

This baby will definitely be going with me on my future travels. I can see myself coming up with quite a few looks be it work appropriate neutral or after 5 fierceness. I am really trying to convince myself that I also need the Deluxe Shadow box.

What do you think? Should I snag it?

Yes girl… get it!! Haha, I was JUST looking at UD’s shadow palettes, although I don’t have one of ‘em yet, they all look great. I’ll definitely have to get one (or a few) sometime in the very near future.

UD have wonderful palettes but some of their colors are unbearable…oil slick, midnight cowboy, maui wowie, etc
    glitter everywhere,NASTY!!! (chunky glitter!)
(i have sensitive eyes so glitter is not my friend, even with primer)

    last call,mildew,shattered,sin..beautiful!

I have the Book of Shadow one, gift from a friend, and half of it I love so much half of it I don’t use much because of the chunky glitters :) But I love the pigmentation of Urban Decay shadows :D

Get it! Get it! Get it!
The deluxe palette was one of the xmas gifts I got this past year and I LOVE it. I ran out to buy the other 3 deluxe shadows that weren’t part of the palette. Then I bought the Book of Shadows palette a few weeks ago. Totally addicted to UD. The colors are to die for! As for the chunky glitter problem, I try to tap as much off my brush as possible before applying.

i love the deluxe shadow box and got it strictly for the HONEY color, which is DIVINE on brown girls like you and me.

i have the sustainable one as well, which as twice baked, a lovely chocolately brown with glitter in it.

only thing that gets me mad is the fact that their boxes duplicate their colors, but oh well.

oh and FISHNET, LOVE IT. i think when i use their stuff, i get a crap load of compliments of my color combo!!

I love how the palette looks like a little paintbox :) So bright and lovely.

IMO, the Deluxe palette is the best palette they have. It’s beautiful and shimmery and bright. NO glitter, no foolishness and a nice mix of club wear to work wear.

  9. Nina says:

I HIGHLY recommend it! I have almost all of their eyeshadow shades and they look amazing on brown skin. Actually, I am exclusively UD at this point in my life. The deluxe shadows are f’mazing and provide an INTENSE color and coverage using just the slightest amount of product. I’m so glad you got this for youyself!!

my FAVE UD palette is the wallpaper shadow box! its a really great mix of neutral colors and fun colors too, and i’ve been able to do so many different looks with it and try some colors that i would’ve never bought on my own, especially last call and smog.

although i have to say, the deluxe shadow box is super sexy and i should’ve totally taken advantage of it when UD was doing their 30% sale. i’m mentally kicking myself.

I had this palette, but I swapped it on MA because several of the e/s were too glittery. I do want to try the new 4 e/s, 1 e/l, and sample size of Sin primer potion palette @ Sephora since all the e/s look glitter-free. I agree that they have awesome eyeliners, I have three and am looking forward to get some more.

  12. Milan Angel says:

I plan to use my 15% off coupon today after work. Still working out what I want to get. Those palettes are WONDERFUL!

  13. Anonymous says:

The Deluxe Shadow Box is my favorite, next to the Primer Potion of course!

  14. Bella says:

I have swore off sparkly eyeshadows due to advanced age ***cries*** — but they look awesome chica. Now you HAVE TO post a FOTD using them!!!

  15. JENSMAKEUPBAG says:

i actually have the deluxe e/s palette! its great for travel to do bright looks. although it does have fallout..quite a bit in my opinion. i still love the colors.

  16. GeeJocUrGOLD says:

If you want the most bang for your buck get a book of shadows. There are 16 shadows that are seem to be much larger than the other palettes, two travel sized liners and a travel size primer potion. They are a little more expensive but you get so much more than you would if you bought a smaller version. I LOVE mine, I actually got my hands on the Alice In Wonderland edition.
