I hope not! I know that these reviews will more than likely help future Clumps readers in case they are interested about the brand and products.
And like I’ve mentioned in previous posts, Carol’s Daughter hair products can be used on ALL hair textures. However, you know your hair best so if you generally do NOT put oils in your hair, I wouldn’t assume that the ones I am reviewing will work wonders for you. Hmmkay?
On to the reviews!!
Price: 3 out of 5 ($19 from Sephora.com)
Packaging: 5 out of 5
Overall: 5 out of 5
What it claims: “A hair oil for dry hair and scalp designed to moisturize and nourish hair. It adds shine and combat dry scalp, this rich, yet lightweight treatment oil helps prevent hair breakage and promotes healthy hair growth.” (source)
The truth: This was my FIRST Carol’s Daughter product and I am still using it so that should tell you something.
What I loved about it: Ohmiwords, the smelllll!
What I didn’t like: The price for this oil is a little steep. Especially if your hair is like mine and seems to ALWAYS be thirsty.
Overall: I recently ran out of this oil–hence the website photo! I smelled this product before owning it. Seriously! I had a professor in undergrad who wore Sisterlocks. I would always go and chit-chat with her after class and could always smell her hair. It reminded me of my African dance instructor; she too wore a fragrance similar to that. After finding out that she moisturized her scalp and locs with Lisa’s Hair Elixir, I ran to Sephora and purchased it. I haven’t looked back. I.LOVE.THIS.STUFF. It has a strong “wood-sy” smell….very organic and outdoorsy. This scent isn’t for everyone. My Mother can’t stand it. But Lisa’s Hair Elixir will always be a staple in my hair drawer.
