Beauty Review: YSL Parisienne perfume

Even as a little girl, I wanted to smell like like a grown woman.

I know…ain’t that somethin’? I was like 7 years old and would sneak in my Mom’s bathroom to spritz a little eau de parfum on my neck. YSL Parisienne reminds me of one of those fragrances that I would have used back in the day. Only now I’m twenty fo’ and I’m at the right perfume wearin’ age.

Introducing YSL’s Parisienne…

Parisienne is a floral fragrance that has hints of sandalwood and blackberry. I like it. I’m not sure how popular it would be among many chicas my age but it is definitely something that I can spritz on when I’m headed to church or to some luncheon. It makes me feel grown up.

Has anyone tried it? Love it? Hate it?

…and I know, fragrances don’t seem to last all that long on me either. I usually have to dab grapeseed oil my neck and wrists before spritzing. I find that it helps the scent last longer.

You can grab this fragrance from Sephora and Sephora.com. Find out more about it here.

I received a free sample of that perfume and quite like it, except I had to spray more than usual because its very light. A lot of people complained about it being an old lady perfume, so I think you're right about it not likely to be popular with us younglings.

I saw it in a Glamour magazine and sniffed it. It smells so good, I might just buy it. I was never a perfume type girl. But this one might change my mind.

Do you have dry skin? Fragrance lasts longer on oilier skin, which is why adding grapeseed oil helps. I also have dry skin and other suggestions I've heard include applying lotion or Vaseline before spritzing perfume. You can also try spritzing on other areas of the body. I usually do neck, wrists, cleavage and behind my knees, which are all spots that tend to be warmer, which helps the fragrance diffuse better. You could also layer body wash and lotion in the same scent or the same fragrance family for more longetivity.

i was surprised to hear that this was a more "mature" scent. i'm 20 and i really liked it. i usually really avoid older smelling perfumes but i thought this one was just the opposite! besides, the bottle is so cute lol
