It’s Black History Month! Last year I inserted random Black History facts in each Clumps of Mascara post. Many of you enjoyed these little tidbits. I’m glad! Knowledge is beauty too. Black History Month started off as Black History Week in 1926 by Carter G. Woodson.

The family of 5 dealt with day to day struggles in Chicago. While some argue that this show exaggerated the lives of Black people in urban Chi-Town, I thought it was a good show. Despite their financial shortcomings, the Evans always managed to keep the faith. Crazy how it was called ‘Good Times’ though when it seemed like the Evans went though nothing but bad times. Ha!
