Wet ‘n Wild Saved by the Blue nail polish

I love these cutesy nail polish names that Wet ‘n Wild have. They make me all nostalgic. I used to watch Saved by the Bell every morning while getting ready for school. I was like a junior and senior attending Lincoln High School and I wanted nothing more than to have the life of the kids at Bayside. Just as cool as Saved by the Bell is Saved by the Blue…

What a sick blue, yo. 2 coats and 1 top coat gave me this beauty. Stunning, right? Retailing for $2, it’s almost a sin to not own this. Especially with it being so cheap and all.

It almost reminds of Zoya’s Tart but I think Tart is just a liiiittle darker. While it has a bit of sparkle to it, Saved by the Blue could almost pass for a creme.

Well, maybe not. I don’t know. I’m really struggling to find the words to describe this epic polish here. This is when being a beauty blogger sucks.

Is it just me or is this blue just…blue-tiful?

Okay sorry. I had to do it. 8)

  • I own this polish and it is indeed unique and awesome. You know what looks great over it? Sinful Colors Hottie.

Ooooh, I haven’t seen that one. Of course now I’ve got to break my neck to find it. LOL!

  • I have this color! Its my fav!!

  • I just bought this polish last week. I’m not sure how I feel about it. I love the color and the wear time, but after a few days, the texture gets weird.

    • Brittany

That’s funky. Do you use a top coat with it? I usually have to.

      • Yeah I use topcoat with it, Maybe I just got a defective bottle.

by the way, I totally agree with the person who says Hottie looks great layered over it. It looked great, but I have so many problems with Hottie :(

        • Brittany

That is so not cool. I find that polishes work 10x better for me when I’m wearing a base coat and wrap the polish UNDER my nail.

Gag me with a bloon! LOL All puns aside, this color is ROYALTY! And I’m a huge blue lacquer fan (waves sapphire birthstone ring finger in the air). IMO, no blues are created equal (or my blues aren’t like your blues…in stitches over here with humorist me). I thought OPI’s “Dating a Royal” was the blue to end all blues, the shine on this WetNWild is stellar! I think I feel a lemming coming on. Get me to some cool blue water stat! Better yet, pass me a tall drink of of something blue with an umbrella in the glass. LOL

Bahahaaaa! “My blues aren’t like your blues.” I’m dying over here. I can’t put my finger on OPI’s Dating a Royal (literally, hehe) but this guy is freaking awesome. And it’s what? Cheeeeap!

  • I love blue!! Cute color.

  • Girl, this color IS blue-tiful. Cuteness! I have an OPI color similar to this blue and it’s one of my favs (will share w/you this week). I have adored blue hues since I was in jr. high. It’s fun yet bold. Also, Saved by the Bell use to be my show!! LOL.

    What a gorgeous blue!

  • Zee

Inexpensive and vibrant?? Yeah!!! I am really feeling blue (in the most uplifting way) these days and need to give this a try. Hopefully I can get it to last a good week. Base coat, top coat, wrap under nail—check. 😉

  • Love Love this color! It looks really nice on your nails :)
