This post is brought to you by POPSUGAR and it’s all about time. You know, that thing that runs out too quickly and you never seem to have enough of it? Yeah…THAT time. A few weeks ago, POPSUGAR sent Esposo to see the movie About Time. Unfortunately I couldn’t join him because I had the pleasure of watching our darling child sleep. And we’re just not the kind of parents that will take their younger kids to movies. Yeah no.
So he went and came home raving about the film. About Time is about a man who has the gift of being able to go back and relive any moment in his life. Crazy, awesome gift ,right? Or is it? Without giving too much away, it turns out that instead of making every moment even better than before, he ends up realizing that life is okay even if it isn’t…perfect.
The whole concept reminds me of a time I had to host a party. I was beyond excited about getting a good 20 of my friends together at at nice little place in downtown Orlando. I had the snacks, the goodie bags and was looking forward to spending some much needed gal pal time. A few hours before I was getting ready to leave Esposo had gotten a call from a company and he HAD to go work. We don’t have family in town and Elle’s sitter only works during the week so since he couldn’t watch Elle, I had to take her with me. And so I did it. I strapped my 5-month old to my back and hosted that party. I was so nervous about it but she slept during most of the party and I left feeling so so confident. So yeah, things didn’t go as planned but somehow everything worked out.
Just like in About Time. I’m guessing that sometimes, things are supposed to happen the way they are supposed to happen. Thankfully we can’t go back and change them because we’d end up in quite the mess, huh? I can’t wait to see About Time in theaters. It comes out nationwide on November 8, 2013 and I’ve already made a date with one of my girls to go and see it.
Movie lovers, I’m thinking this comedy would be a great movie to see with that someone special, with friends or solo.
