Look! Whish Has Made Shaving (Almost) Fun Again

| May 26, 2014 | 2 Comments

Through Mom Central, I got the opportunity to test drive some Whish shaving products and for the first time in…forever, I’m not hating shaving! Ugh. I have a love/hate relationship with the whole concept. It’s crazy to think that in the 7th grade I begggggged my Mom to let me shave my legs. Now I’m all like “Ugh…I HAVE to shave.” And #1 reason why I love winter time? Because I don’t have to shave. Yes, girl. It is a serious matter.

Whish Body products Whish Body Products has a goal of providing an unparalleled treatment for the body. All of their products are without parabens, sulfates and petrochemicals. They use organic ingredients and I was surprised at how luxurious shaving products could be. Whish Shaving I’m a low maintenance girl when it comes to shaving and for years I’ve used whatever hair conditioner I had on hand as a shaving cream. Yes, feel free to judge me. I realized that it was high time for me to step my game up and use an actual shaving cream. Whish’s Shave Crave Shaving Cream really shouldn’t even be called a shaving cream. It’s more like a fluffy pillow of awesomeness. I mean, really. There’s shaving and then there’s shaving with Whish’s Shave Crave. After you attempt to say that 3 times fast, check out some of the specs of this cream…

  • It includes squalene and jojoba seed oil. Both which help hydrate the skin.
  • Organic shea butter is dumped in to help protect and heal the skin.
  • It smoothes the skin with organic coconut oil.
  • Flavors include the decadent yet subtle Lavender, Almond, Lemongrass and Pomegranate.
  • It was was created with the power of men’s shaving cream but without the yucky chemicals.

Housed in a see-through counter (this NEVER happens with shaving creams), Shave Crave comes with an easy-to-use pump. I found that half a pump distributed just enough product for one leg.

A little goes a long way and once the pillow of cream hits your hands, you know you’re dealing with a very different kind of shaving cream.

Once slathered all over the hands, I found the cream to feel like a moisturizing whipped butter. After rinsing, you aren’t left with that streaky clean feeling.

Using it as an experience, really. An experience that will cost you $20. And as always after shaving or waxing experience, the upkeep is just as important as the original removal process. That’s where Whish’s Ingrow Hair Serum comes in…

Whish Shaving Serum

A clinically proven treatment intended to be used pre and post wax or shave, this lightweight serum contains willow bark, Mother Nature’s natural form of salicylic acid. Healing, refreshing and cool on the skin, this serum helps to reduce redness, irritation as well as delay hair growth. I can’t spoke on the latter as I haven’t been using it long enough to find the truth in that claim, but I like the idea of using a serum after shaving. Why didn’t I think of this?

I can appreciate the the very light, almost fragrance free formula, too. The serum is an alcohol- free gel that feels fantastically cooling on the skin. As with the shaving cream, a little goes a long way and I reckon with regular use, this stuff will keep those pesky ingrown hairs at bay. It goes for $22.50.

Available at Nordstrom.com, I am allll over Whish and I wish I would have known about this luxurious brand years ago. I’ve noticed such a difference in the overall smoothness of my legs. Yay for whishes coming true!! Haha, see what I did there?

I received a whish shave cream in my BIRCHBOX and I was not a fan of the scent. It did say it had acai and grapefruit but what I smelled was just chemical fragrance.

Eek! Really? I am very sensitive to fragrances and was surprised at how these didn’t bother me at all.
