Too Faced Chocolate Soleil

Bronzer season is in session and I couldn’t be happier! I got a sample of this Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer from Too Faced a few months back and with it came their darling little kabuki brush.

First of all, can we talk about how much I still need to get that Chocolate Bar Palette in my life? Have you seen it? And part of the reason why I want it so much is because of the packaging. Yeah, I’m pretty sure the shadows are nice and the diversity of the shadows are great, but how wonderful is that palette? Cute stuff, yo. But it’s the bronzer that we’re talking about.

It’s not easy to wear matte bronzers. Especially if you’re like me and have pretty noticeable pores. But Too Faced did a bang up job with this one.

The formulation promises to neutralize red and even skin tone and it has actual cocoa powder in it. Which is pretty cool, right? This Medium/Deep bronzer will likely work will for chicas a smidge lighter than me and maybe those a tad bit darker than me. I’m just excited to see a bronzer this dark and complementing for my complexion.

I also love the absence of shimmer. I mean, don’t get me wrong. I love a dose of gold in bronzers but it’s refreshing to see one that I can wear confidently and not have to worry about the disco ball effect.

It’s one of those bronzers that goes nicely with my powder makeup routine. I’m a fan and for $30, it’s a steal.

Sweet stuff! Have you tried anything from Too Faced’s Chocolate collection?

    Hello Darling!
I know I’m super late in responding but hey. its here. I love the chocolate bronzer. I use it as a touch up powder and a finishing powder. It smells wonderful. I bought it based on that alone. Sad I know but I love using it. I still have one in the old packaging and then it went on sale or something and i thought they were discontinuing it so i bought two extra ones. but then realized they were just changing the packaging. i still am working on the first one. I have hit pan. and OH, let me tell you. I went heavy on it one night before church because whatever makeup i had put on that morning had faded and it wore well. I looked very beach bunny bronze for a chocolate girl after it settled in, but i must say, i was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t know i could do bronzed. HA!! But with this you can. I am also excited to get my hands not the chocolate bar palette. ttyl

I love this blush! Not only does it smell divine, it looks fabulous on and I also like that there is no shimmer.

    Great review!

I actually like the whole disco ball effect on me, lol..what can I say? I’m a glamaholic. That being said, this looks like it would make a HEAVENLY setting/touchup powder as someone suggested in the comments. GREAT reviews, btw!
