I just realized that I am running a race on Saturday. My training has been well, almost non-existent for the past few weeks and I don’t have any excuses. I could blame Florida’s humidity, heat and rain but I won’t. I did a measly run with my Black Girls Run group last week but my mind wasn’t in the game. But it’s funny where inspiration comes from. Take these holographic polishes that I got from The Hungry Asian…
The lovely Kae (the genius behind The Hungry Asian) sent me the two newest polishes to hit stands and I could not have been more grateful. Holographic polishes are my FAVORITE formula and I love being able to transform any polish with just a touch of gold or silver based holographic polish. The formula is fantastic on both and one coat gives an insane amount of holographic’ness. Both Dream Car (the silver) and Dream House ( the gold) apply beautifully. I layered Dream House over Zoya’s Wendy and I layered Dream car over OPI’s Do You Have This Color In Stock-holm? Glorious, right?
You can buy both polishes for $16.50 or get them individually for $9.25. They are both definitely worth hauling for my fellow holographic lovers out there. I’m a bit shocked that I haven’t seen holographic topcoats before they just make sense.
And then there’s KBShimmer. I have a bit of addiction with this brand. I seriously can’t stop hauling their polishes. I blame nail polish bloggers because every time I spot a KBShimmer nail polish on a site, I have to buy it. Which explains these purchases…
The hot pink goodness that is Beach Please
called my name when I first saw it. I’m not a pink lover but I love a very vibrant hot pink creme and so this polish was made for me. That and Scribble Me This
glitter top coat. Well, what can I say? I’ve been in a glitter mood lately and I love the different sizes and blast of shapes in this glitter. I’ve also been hearing a lot about KBShimmer’s nail vinyls
so I had to grab some of those. Not perfect application for my first round but still…I’m impressed and will certainly be practicing and ordering more. I am so here for easy and quick nail art for people like me. People who CAN’T do nail art.
Yeah, I’ve got a ton of practice to do but those vinyls have really inspired me. I took those inspirations and had an amazing workout yesterday. So who knows…maybe I can complete that race without passing out. And maybe I can successfully run that half marathon in December? *gulps*
What’s been inspiring you these days?
