Subtle Lips + Red Nails + A Pop of Silver and Gold

This post is sponsored by Target.

Tis the season, babes! I am sooooo ready. My baby is here. Our house is all kinds of decked out and I’m excited to spend the holiday season with just my small family of four. This year, however, I’m skipping the whole “GO INTO DEBT” theme for gifts and so I’ve selected only a few gal pals to receive gifts.

I Don’t Mind Aging As Long As My Skin Looks Good

I cared for my skin from the inside out with Aveeno® as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #Aveeno

You are never too young to start implementing anti-aging practices, girlfriend. Yes, I turned 30 this year and have no problem aging gracefully. But I am also okay with getting into products that will work nicely with my skin for when I hit those 40’s, 50’s and 60’s with style.

Baby Jett is Here!

Sweet dreams from baby Jett.

Sweet dreams from baby Jett.

Hey y’all! He’s almost already 2 weeks old but Baby Jett made his arrival on November 4th. This baby boy is absolutely divine and I’ve been covering him in kisses every other second of the day. Posts will be slow but I hope you understand. I’m taking a real maternity leave this go ’round to take care of my growing family.

Plus, I actually have a baby that sucks boobs this time (not that it’s easy…it soooo isn’t easy) so I spend most of my days in bed feeding him. And I love it.

Be back with his birth story!

The Kind of Protection Tech Lovers Need

I married a techie. And I’ve been a techie since the day I received that Palm Pilot when I was 12 or 13 years old. Do you fine people remember those? Yes, I know I’m aging myself but I felt like a mini executive walking around with that Palm Pilot. You would have thought that I had access to the President with the way I strolled around with that thing.

And so began my love for all things tech. Since then, I’ve had over a dozen cell phones, various laptops and desktops (PCs and Macs – I don’t discriminate) and my entire livelihood is virtually surrounded around…tech. Which, okay is a little scary but also a sign of the times. That said, I’ve gotta protect my investments.

I’m So Thankful

Pregnant Fun

So…it’s November. And next month we get to celebrate the last day of 2015. In.sane. I’ll spare you the “Whoa, this year went by fast!” comments, but seriously y’all…this year has gone by so very quickly. I ended 2014 with a renewing and refreshing state of mind. I finished a self-improvement program and had so many ideas and goals set for myself. Things that I wanted to do and accomplish. And well…

I didn’t do it ALL. And that’s okay. As long as I am granted another day to live, that means I’ve got the chance to keep going towards those goals. Right now, though? I just feel so incredibly thankful. The seasons has me feeling this way. Here I am on the brink of Thanksgiving and 39 weeks pregnant and I am just washed over and over with graciousness and satisfaction.

Colgate Optic White Update + Another Giveaway

3 month update It has been 3 months, babes! Remember when I first talked about my mission to whiten my teeth using Colgate Optic White Toothbrush + Whitening Pen? I’ve taken quite a few travels in the past 3 months and I’m surprised that I remembered to bring my beloved toothbrush along each time. I can’t stress to you how nice it is to have a whitening product built in your toothbrush. Such a genius idea and one that will likely have me repurchasing this toothbrush just for the convenience.   Because look – busy women and mamas simply don’t have the time to sit and wait for their teeth to whiten. I love how simple using this toothbrush is. It takes away  the whole “put this on your teeth and remove in 10-30 minutes” thing and allows you to brush, whiten and go. It really couldn’t be easier. But is it effective?  I would say so! To stretch it out a bit, I used the toothbrush twice a day but only used the Whitening Pen once a day. A little goes a long way and even after 3 months, I’ve got just a little left. Because you can use any kind of toothpaste with this, I’m thinking that can make a bit of a difference in the results that you may see. I didn’t use a whitening toothpaste because I wanted to see how well the Whitening Pen did on its own.  Twist out [Read more…]
