It has been forever and a day since I’ve heard anything new from butter LONDON nail polish. Yes, they’ve been releasing new collections and shades but when a box of their newest Patent Shine 10x formula polishes landed on my doorstep, I knew that big things were happenin’.
So many nail polish companies have been jumping on that gel thing and I’m just so excited to see something different. Just a regular ole’ formula with that promises to leave a shiny finish. Yes. I can do that. That works for me. I test drove these 4 shades…
Shop Girl is a soft beige creme that I didn’t think I’d like but I think it works well against my skin. It’s definitely one of those professional interview-type shades that I’ll be getting a ton of use out of it.
Over the Moon is a warm grey that actually appears a bit darker on the nails once you apply it. Still, it’s gorgeous. Then again, you’ll never hear me complain about a grey creme. Ever.
Her Majesty’s Red is a true red. It’s one of those You can’t wear this until you’re an adult reds that my Mom wouldn’t let me wear. It’s stunning and gorgeous and yes, it REALLY shines.
Chat Up is a deep blue that I was sure was going to stain my nails – but it didn’t! Yesssss! I’m rockin’ it on my toes now and it is truly one of the most vibrant and stunning blue nail polishes that I own.
butter LONDON has 14 of these shades and the color range is pretty diverse. This new formula goes for $18/bottle versus the original formula which is $15/bottle. Steep? Yeah, I would say so? Worth it? Maybe. I tend to apply top coats to all of my polishes to achieve a nice shine so polishes that give me that always make me jump for joy. In addition to the shine, bL is also saying this formula will do the following…
- Up to 10 day wear
- Full color coverage
- Gel-like cushion finish & shine
- 7 Free
Impressive! But at the end of the day, I find that it’s just as good as the original formula.
What do you think? Interested in butter LONDON’s newest formula?
