Say What? You Want Free Hair Products and a New Purse?

Sponsored post. All opinions are my own.

It is officially T minus 2 weeks before I am too pregnant to function. I think I’m ready and after getting the house in order, I am working on self-pampering. Because let’s face it, there is very little to no pampering going down with a newborn in the house. But you know what? I’m one of those women that reuses to give up on herself. I don’t care what it takes. I will find a millisecond in a day to do something special for me.

And you should do the same, babe. This, I think, applies to all women. We do a lot, man. We deserve to treat ourselves every now and then.

Remember when I first talked about Roux and how ideal it was for expectant moms who weren’t able to color their hair during those three trimesters? I’m back to remind you about the fabulous contest that Roux Beauty has going on and to encourage you to enter! Because who couldn’t use hair care products for a year or a brand new Louis Vuitton purse? Current Roux lovers will definitely want to get in on this fun. Upload your picture so we can all see how fabulous your curls, tresses, ‘fros are looking!

Visiting Walt Disney World While 37 Weeks Pregnant

I’ve done a lot of crazy things in my life. From spontaneously moving across the country to marrying a dude I met off of the internet and eating my placenta, I rarely shock myself anymore. My friends are used to this and often laugh at my antics. When I came up with the idea to take Elle on a “Almost Big Sister” trip to Walt Disney World while pregnant, no one tried to stop me.And they should have.

Walt Disney World at Fall

Because that was by far the craziest thing that I’ve ever done. No overly pregnant woman should be waddling around Walt Disney World. But this post isn’t about why you shouldn’t do it. I’m going to highlight our up’s and great experiences while casually noting how much BETTER they could have done if I weren’t so you know…pregnant.

It’s ShopBop’s Friends & Family Sale Again!

There is something about October. I really can’t put my finger on what it is specifically but I love everything about this month. I never realized how glorious it felt before. Pumpkin spice has nothing to do with it, either. But aside from being excited about change in the weather and and the impending birth of baby #2, so many of my  brands are doing these glorious sales. Shopbop included!

Yes, I know…I am forever bragging about Shopbop and their fabulous purses, shoes and fits but if you’ve got some extra pennies on hand and want to treat yourself (or get a head start on holiday shopping), now is the time!

Celebrity-Inspired Hair Styles That My Toddler Rocks

This post is sponsored by Target.

Hair we go again! I figured that you may have heard enough about my hair and the products that I’m using on them so I decided to use Elle as a model and the inspiration for this post. As mother to a daughter with a good amount of hair, caring for hers and making sure that she LOVES her hair is important in my book. Little girls need to love what they see in the mirror and as her mama, I will do all that I can to include her in healthy hair care practices and styling.

Camille Rose

And I know what you’re thinking. “Is this even necessary? I mean…she’s barely 3 years old!” Um, yes. It is very necessary because this kid sees me doing my hair and naturally, she’s interested. With the changing of the seasons, I’ve been giving a lot more thought into products and styling that will be better suited for the cooler weather. It’s Florida, y’all so no, we won’t be dealing with any snow and frozen flurries but less beach and pool time means we need to switch up the products. There will be a tiny bit of chill in the hair so moisturized curls, more protective styles and quick and easy do’s are in the forecast.

Crayola Experience Orlando – Big Kids Rejoice!

The Crayola Experience Orlando

What does a parent who is feeling a bit guilty about her daughter losing her only child status do? She spoils her, of course! With baby boy making his arrival any week now, I’ve been making a list of activities and things to do with Elle as we celebrate her now more than ever. I’m the oldest daughter raising the oldest daughter and I know how important it is to create memories for her now and especially when Lil’ Dude gets here. We’re heading to Disney World next weekend but I wanted to do something fun, local and pretty interactive with her.

Soooo…we went to the Crayola Experience here in Orlando!

The Crayola Experience

Okay, first of all…I may have been more excited going to this place more than my kid. What’s not to be excited about? You can be Mr. Stuck Up and Professional and still geek out over a pack of fresh crayons. That’s just life, man. Ideal for children of all ages, this is one attraction that both locals and tourists will really enjoy. Elle is 2 and almost 3-years old and while at her age there was plenty for her to do, I saw many older kids (think upper elementary) that were just as engaged and having a good time.

GlobeIn – The Subscription Box That Keeps Giving

Okay, first of all – don’t hate me for being so late in getting this post out to you. I received a sample of this GlobeIn box but because the month is over, you won’t be able to purchase THIS month’s box. The good news is, what you see is just a small example of what you’ll receive if you decide to get a subscription of GlobeIn.

GlobeIn

So I’ll back up. What IS GlobeIn? We’ve seen a few dozen subscription boxes of various topics. What makes this one better? The fact that GlobeIn works with people around the world to allow them to get their handmade items in the hands of people like you and me is what makes them better. Just about every single item in a GlobeIn box will be handmade with a little story about the person or persons that you’re helping support.

It’s a beautiful sentiment but more importantly, I like the idea of being able to educate myself on various people and place across the globe and get a hand in helping support their communities. Also, you’ve got to love how each Box has a topic. September 2015’s was Wellness and considering I’m about to have a baby, well this box was totally needed!
