How NYC New York Color’s Lip Stain brought out my fierceness

Yay for new lip stains on the market! I’ve reviewed lip stains before but that was back when I was a itty bitty beauty blogger. Now that I’m slightly mature *pops imaginary collar* I can formally review these with flare and prestige.

Or somethin’ like that. 8) Hit the jump to get the skinny on NYC New York Color’s newest lippie.

Amor de Lacquer: China Glaze Anchors Away, part I

Welcome to another post of Amor de Lacquer….the series all about nail polish and nail care! Send me your requests, suggestions and ideas to

This collection isn’t THAT new. It has been out for a few months and while it didn’t cause a lot of fanfare in the nail polish world, I think Anchors Away was one of China Glaze’s best collections. And I’m a little delayed at reviewing it but hereeee we go! First up, the darker shades…

Brown eyeliner. Yay or nay?

I love me some black eyeliner. Black liner helps to define the eyes and give you that dramatic look, right? Of course I love purple, green and blue on the waterline as well, but brown? Welp….there’s a first time for everything.

Jennifer Hudson wears China Glaze’s Grape Pop

I love Jennifer Hudson. I love that she is one of the few R&B singers out today that actually knows how to sing. I love that SHE was the star of Dreamgirls instead of ‘you know who’. I’d also love to get up on her weight loss plan but that’s neither here nor there.

Check the newstands for the upcoming issue of Essence Magazine where J.Hud will be gracing the cover. And on her nails are China Glaze’s Grape Pop. Fo real! Manicurist Cenita Scott hooked Jennifer up with one of my favorite nail polishes.

Grape Pop is from the Up & Away Collection. I was rockin’ it a few seasons ago myself.

You can still snag it on for $2.99. See, J.Hud…I knew we were friends. Now how about lettin’ me sing a hook on your next album? 8)

And you’re not only removing the makeup but you’re moisturizing the area below the eyes as well. Hollers!

Who else uses baby oil to remove makeup?

FOTD Friday: Really e.l.f.? 100 for only eyeshadows for $10?

If there is one brand the Clumps kids want to see more reviews of, it would be e.l.f. And rightfully so. After all, Clumps of Mascara is all about products for those new to makeup. And with e.l.f. having products that start at $1, why shouldn’t they be highlighted on the site? Right you are, sugar plums. Check out the video review and quick FOTD (face of the day) of one of my many e.l.f discoveries.

Sephora’s Lippies? Hot or not?

Need a new lip gloss in your life? Ever think to take a look at some of Sephora’s? I’ll be honest…with all of the other brands calling my name, I usually don’t take a second look at Sephora’s products. Giiiirl…where have I been? Their Ultra Shine Lip gloss is some kinda cool.
