Huetiful Hair Steamer

I know, right? A hair post over here at Clumps? Hair talk is usually saved for my hair blog but I’ve had to the opportunity to review the Huetiful hair steamer and wanted to share it with the Clumps fam. After all, with the cooler weather hitting us, who couldn’t use some added moisture to the ole’ crown, eh?

Call me loca but I’ve never heard of a hair steamer until I saw natural hair bloggers posting about Huetiful’s.

Giveaway Winners! EOS lip balms

Congratulations are in order!!

Yes, my lovelies…you two will be receiving the darling EOS lip balms. The giveaway answers were rad, yo. Some of yall’s answers were so descriptive that I felt myself being transported right to the places you described.

If you didn’t win, don’t fret, kiddo…I’ve got a ton of giveaways coming up. In the meantime, don’t forget to enjoy nature. Be it a walk outside or marveling the clouds in the sky, let Mother Nature that you’re her homie.

Do you use essential oils?

Have I told y’all how much I LOVE essential oils? Mama Clumps started it. What you see are just the ones that I use regularly. Mama Clumps is lucky that I don’t live with her. I’d be snagging her 100+ essential oils collection religiously.

But alas, it requires a small fortune to build a hefty collection. Which oils do you use? I use Peppermint just about everyday. It’s in a spray bottle of water that I spritz all over my hair. I also use that and lavendar oil for when I wash clothes. And of course it makes for a perfect aromatherapy blend as well as making natural skincare products.

Oh, and I wouldn’t feel right if I didn’t place a disclaimer. Essential oils  should NOT be applied directly to the skin without carrier oils. Tea tree and lavender oils are the only exceptions.  Mama Clumps has most, if not all, of those too.

I’m so jealous.

Drop your favorite essential oils and their uses! And should you or should you not store eau de toilette in medicine cabinet?

EOS lip balm + giveaway!

I dig nature. Even when it doesn’t dig me. Which is most of the time. Proof of that would be my freaking out when I see bull frogs meeting me at my door step, snakes slithering past me when I lounge on the grass and pelicans trying to eat while I’m chillin’ at the beach. Have you ever seen the mouth of a pelican? They could probably chomp off my head in one bite.

The other day I was taking a stroll outside and y’all will NOT believe what all-natural beauty goodness I found in the trees.

Amor de Lacquer: Zoya Wonderful Fall 2010 collection

Welcome to another post of Amor de Lacquer….the series all about nail polish and nail care! Send me your requests, suggestions and ideas to Brittany@ClumpsOfMascara.com.

It’s not quite the holidays (although I was it was) but with a collection like this, it really is the most wonderful time of the year. Zoya’s Wonderful collection has stolen my heart. But then again, it would. It’s a collection of stunning dusty creams.

Oh yeah! Too bad my nails have been a hot and breakin’ mess. One of my middle fingers (such irony, uh?) has decided to just completely break off. It refuses to grow as long as its siblings. Such a meanie, uh? Yes, I just called my finger a meanie. ;)

NYX Sheer Tube Gloss

Yo mamacitas…been looking for a bangin’ new lip gloss? Like I really even need to ask that question. 9 times out of 10, us beauty lovin’ girly girls will purchase a lip gloss over any other beauty product. I didn’t conduct a formal survey…such my loca assumption. :) I’ve been rockin’ some of these NYX glosses like a mad woman these days.

(l-r) Pink Caramel, Brilliant, Luscious

You want to see a swatch of that hot pink one, uh? You know you do!

Mascara Monday: L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes mascara

L’Oreal’s newest mascara has hit the scene and I can’t even begin to tell y’all how many emails I got about it. You must trust me, darlings. If you see that a new mascara has hit the scene and I have yet to review, trust and believe that a review is in the works. I be on it, mannnn.

Okay, let’s get serious. While I’ve always been a fan of L’Oreal Voluminous (I think it’s better than DiorShow), I didn’t think that L’Oreal could tweak it to make it any better. Unless, of course they changed the formula to make it less thick. Which, of course, would mean…lesser or no chances of clumping.

The mascara crew at L’Oreal listened to my inner thoughts and viola—Million Lashes was born. Is it a winner?

Make-up at Blogalicious + cute kids

As a beauty blogger, sometimes I feel like I HAVE to wear make-up at events where I am representing Clumps of Mascara. Beauty blogger=she must wear make-up all of the time, right? Wrong. I may don a face of make-up 3 times a week tops. But because I was out and about meeting with fellow bloggers, I wanted to look jazzy and so here’s what I was rockin’…

That’s my little cousin B. Yep, he’s a B too. Silliest boy ever.
