The Bronzer That Is Sweet Enough To Eat. Almost.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil

Bronzer season is in session and I couldn’t be happier! I got a sample of this Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer from Too Faced a few months back and with it came their darling little kabuki brush.

Too Faced CHOCOLATE SOLEIL MATTE BRONZER

First of all, can we talk about how much I still need to get that Chocolate Bar Palette in my life? Have you seen it? And part of the reason why I want it so much is because of the packaging. Yeah, I’m pretty sure the shadows are nice and the diversity of the shadows are great, but how wonderful is that palette? Cute stuff, yo. But it’s the bronzer that we’re talking about.

Too Faced matte bronzer

It’s not easy to wear matte bronzers. Especially if you’re like me and have pretty noticeable pores. But Too Faced did a bang up job with this one.

Too Faced Chocolate matte bronzer

The formulation promises to neutralize red and even skin tone and it has actual cocoa powder in it. Which is pretty cool, right? This Medium/Deep bronzer will likely work will for chicas a smidge lighter than me and maybe those a tad bit darker than me. I’m just excited to see a bronzer this dark and complementing for my complexion.

I also love the absence of shimmer. I mean, don’t get me wrong. I love a dose of gold in bronzers but it’s refreshing to see one that I can wear confidently and not have to worry about the disco ball effect.

Bronzer on cheeks

It’s one of those bronzers that goes nicely with my powder makeup routine. I’m a fan and for $30, it’s a steal.

Sweet stuff! Have you tried anything from Too Faced’s Chocolate collection?

Why You Should Buy Wet ‘n Wild’s Fergie Lipstains

I feel like it has been forever since I’ve featured lip glosses on Clumps. I’ve really been wearing lipstick more these days but while rummaging around, I came across a few of these glosses that Wet ‘n Wild Cosmetics sent me some months ago. As an Amabassador for the brand, I have been so fortunate to get a peek of all of their newest products.

Wet n Wild Fergie Vicious Varnish High Shine Lipstain Collection

These lipstains launched months back and the color selection is just out of this word! I only have 5 of the shades here but there are more and they range from neutral/browns to hot pinks and reds. Great job with this, WnW!

Wet n Wild Fergie Vicious Varnish High Shine Lipstain

Ideally, what I gathered from these is that they are intended to be applied like a gloss but have the staying power of a stain. BUT, they are also shiny which means you aren’t going to get that super dry feeling that you may get from a lipstain. It’s an appealing concept. Especially for those of us who have perpetually dry lips.

Wet n Wil lipgloss swatches

What I don’t like about these is the spatula-like applicator. They distribute an uneven amount of gloss on the lips and it takes a bit of blotting to even thangs out. Not a major downer but it is definitely something to note. Wear-wise, though, these are fantastic. I can easily get a good 3-6 hours of wear of ‘em while not having to worry about them coming off of the lips.

Wet n Wild lipgloss

Even as the glossiness, fades away, the stain is still there. It works better than many higher-end stains that I’ve used! I didn’t have any issues with the scent and was happy to find that there wasn’t an overwhelmingly annoying smell or taste to them.

And hello, they are $3.49. Crazy cheap! And they are a lot better than their MegaLast glosses. I so wish Wet ‘n Wild would add these to their website, but nope…nada. You can’t purchase them online either so your best bet is to head to your local Walgreens or CVS and scoop ‘em up.

My Sparkling New KBShimmer nail polishes

KBShimmer

I don’t follow many nail polish blogs but I do live on Pinterest and ohmigoodness, every other day I would run across a pin showcasing a KBShimmer nail polish. Every time I turned around one of my beauty blogger friends was raving about the brand and I finally decided to take the jump and so I ordered three polishes.

KBShimmer nail polish

Okay, three polishes is nothing but at $7.50-$8.75 a polish, I really wanted to get a feel of the brand before I shelled out a ton of money. That said, I’m a big fan! Pt Young Thing got so much love from many bloggers and so I knew I had to scoop up that silver holographic. And I see why it is well loved.

KBShimmer Pt Young Thing

It’s a stunning holo. I don’t think it is any more holographic than some of my other silver holos, but it is pretty nonetheless. The formula is fantastic and while you can get away with 2 coats, I applied 3 for an extra measure.

KBShimmer A Touch of Glass

I’m not sure why I felt like I had to get A Touch of Glass. This light aqua mint cream isn’t heavily unique but I think I am a sucker for shades like this. Zoya’s Wednesday is a darker version of this but I think I like A Touch of Glass more. I love how glossy it is without needing a top coat.

KBShimmer Low and Be Bold

Low & Be Bold is by far one of the most stunning cobalt blues that I’ve ever owned. It is just soooo lovely! And don’t let my camera fool you. It is really much more vibrant in person. The jelly almost cream finish is just perfect.

I love supporting indie brands and will definitely be keeping an eye out for KBShimmer. And if nothing else, I have got to get some of those gorgeous glitters. She makes some of the best glitters I have ever seen!

Have you ever tried anything from KBShimmer?

Disclosure: I purchased these items with my own money, honey.

My Favorite Products of All Time. Like…Ever.

My poor baby, um…toddler has been sick for the past day and I did nothing but tend to her. My productive week went out of the window and I had grand plans of doing a fantastic look but well, family comes first. You get it, don’t you? And dude, nothing says love like allowing your child to throw up on you while you rub her back. I really must be a Mother because being covered in vomit wasn’t that big of a deal. I just wanted her to feel better. And she’s getting there.

Until I jump on the Productivity Train again, I’ve decided to share some of my favorite products of all time with you. This is such a short list. I mean very short. But these products are all thangs that I would purchase time and time again.

4 Skincare Brands That Are Doing It Right

I’ve been switching up the skincare game these days. I’m tossing out the same boring products that I’ve been using and trying some new stuff. Plus, I don’t know…there’s something about the change in seasons that makes you want to get a whole bunch of new skincare products and makeup goodies. I’ve been testing these goodies for months now and I finally feel ready to drop the skinny on them.

Tu'eL skincare products

Or is that just me? *shrugs* First things, first…have you heard of the brand Tu’eL? Girl. Ohmigoodness…I first purchased their products from my waxer lady and since then, their fabulous PR team has given me the opportunity to try other thangs.

Tu'eL products

While not widely popular, the brand Tu’eL and their products have changed my skin. And that’s not just dramatic blogger talk. Their Green Clean Invigorating Body Wash has worked wonders on my skin. I originally purchased the Body Polish Set (which contains pumice gloves) because my waxer promised that if I used that daily, I wouldn’t have any issues with itching or ingrown hairs. I was a skeptic, but she was absolutely right.

Tu'eL skincare

Tu’eL’s Green Clean Body Wash has a mineral oil-free formula with ingredients like pine and bladderwrack. The glycolic helps prevent bumps by really exfoilating the skin. It’s an experience, really and without the use of synthetic dyes and fragrances. I don’t think I’ll ever stop buying this product. The kit retails for $36 which is probably on the steeper end of post-wax and shave care, but whatever. It’s an investment that I will make time and time again to continue to not have to deal with ingrown hairs, dark underarms and the itchiness every time I shave.

Tu’eL also carries a Triple Splash 3-in-1 that is by far one of the coolest skincare products that I’ve come across in awhile.

Targeted to help hydrate the skin, Triple Splash is intended to be splashed on wet skin immediately after a bath or shower. Using Sodium Hyaluronate and a bit of Eucalyptus, this stuff promises to not only provide added hydration to the skin but it also firms and tones. It feels absolutely fantastic! Even in the summer, my skin is notoriously dry and even more so after I’ve been swimming.

Splash in hand

Triple Splash not only feels good after application but it’s a nice base before slathering on my moisturizer. I don’t know how I’ve managed to live without this stuff. Also pricey at $32, this hydrating body tonic is truly one of the best skincare products I’ve tried all year.

Ahava Active Moisture Gel Cream

Have you heard of the brand Ahava? I’ve tangoed with them before but it has been such a long time and I was very grateful to get a press sample of their Active Moisture Gel Cream. The whole concept of a moisturizer having a gel consistency is tough to deal with when you first plop a dollop in your hand.

Ahava Active Moisture Gel Cream in hand

But after it sinks into your skin, you realize that it doesn’t leave behind a sticky feeling but instead sinks into your skin. It feels especially cooling after a shower. The warmth of the skin combined with the coolness from the gel is quite the treat. Ahava says that this Gel Cream not only locks in moisture but with continued use it also brings about softer and more invigorated skin. I’m not sure if my skin feels 100% renewed after using this but I will certainly keep using it after workouts because I do feel it glides effortlessly on my inflamed and hot from the sun skin. Really all of us girls should keep a tub of this $40 slice of heaven in our gym bags.

SebaMed

And then there’s the brand Sebamed. Sebamed Liquid Face & Body Wash is geared towards those of who are serious about maintaing our skin’s pH balance. It is formulated to a pH balance of exactly 5.5 which is a big deal because it helps maintain skin’s moisture.

This mild soap deeply cleanses but doesn’t give your skin that streaky clean feeling. I love how my skin feels after using it but the fragrance is far too strong for my liking. Still, if your skin is pretty picky and you find that you have to use products that aren’t too acidic or too alkaline, Sebamed is very cool.

And we all know about St. Ives, right? Did you know not too long ago they gave us some new formulas? Pink Lemon & Mandarin Orange Scrub and Oatmeal Scrub + Mask are new on the scene.

St. Ives scrubs

I love how St. Ives is really specifying what each of their scrubs will do. Whether you need something to soften the skin, brighten or polish away imperfections, they’ve got it.

Recommended use is 3-4 times a week and that may be a bit much for some. However, I can certainly appreciate the less abrasive and almost cream-like feel to these. They feel so much nicer on the skin than the Apricot scrub. Which, by the way, is on sale at Drugstore.com.

St. Ives

Scent-wise, you’ll find the Pink Lemon to smell, well..citrusy and the Oatmeal scrub has a sweet and faint vanilla scent to it. Fans of St. Ives will love both and of course you grab them at drugstores and Target stores nationwide.

Have you been trying any fun new skincare products?
