You know me, girls. I’m always trying to save you a buck or two. This sponsored post comes to you from Groupon and I’m working together with them to show off something new that they’re doing. Groupon Coupons!
Have you heard of this? Already a HUGE fan of Groupon, I recently stumbled upon their coupons and shoot, man. I’m bummed out that I didn’t know about them earlier. Did y’all know and just now tell me? If you’re like me, you probably do a ton of research for coupons and discount codes before you shop online, right? I mean, you should. Add Groupon Coupons to that list. Not only do they have coupons from online retailers that you’re probably already shopping from (think Kohls, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Macy’s) but you’ll get a huuuuuuge list of various coupons that each retailer has available.
Take Target for example…
Apparently, you people (and by people, I mean the entire world) like to buy things online. It’s true, isn’t it? I mean…who actually RUNS to the store these days? When you’ve got Amazon Prime, waiting an extra 2 days for whatever you need is actually a pretty good idea. Especially since they deliver on Sundays.
How is that even possible? I can’t get a paycheck on Sunday but I’ll get my Amazon Prime thangs? Mmm. Okay. Well, in honor of #AmazonEverythang, I’ve created my own little Amazon store. I’ve so cleverly named it The Clumps Trunk. In my trunk are items that I’ve personally purchased and LOVE. I’ve got the trunk separated in many different categories.
- Makeup Thangs
- Nail Polish Life
- Books I Love
- Natural Hair Faves
- Baby/Toddler Life
- In the Kitchen
- Books Featuring Brown Kids
I’ve also got some recipes coming up and all of the ingredients that I will be listing can be purchased from Amazon. How cool is that? The Clumps Trunk will always be around and it’s open 24/7. And yep, it’s loaded with affiliate links which means if you buy something, I get some pennies. But you were going to buy it anyway, right? See! We all win. 😎
This is why I love y’all. But before I go, check out some of my picks from each category.
I majored in Africana Studies when I was in college. Somewhere between my Journalism classes and Spanish minor classes, I fell in love with all things African and African American. I’m a American but I’m Black yet I had very little knowledge about Africa, the continent, the diaspora and how they impacted our world back then and today. I am still fascinated by history and so when it was suggested that we visit Fort San Cristóbal while vacationing in San Juan, Puerto Rico, I was ready to go!
Truthfully, I’m proud that my pregnant butt managed to climb all of those stairs and slopes in that heat. The view was worth it and I was grateful to have experienced that with my family.
Girl. My face has been a hot mess, lately. I’m not blaming it on the pregnancy, but actually…I am far more attractive THIS time around than I was with Elle. With Elle, I cringed every time I looked in the mirror. My issues this go ’round are mainly due to my laziness and lack of pampering. A few weeks back, Clinique sent me some goodies and I ignored them up until last week when I realized it was time for some skin love.
Look. I don’t care who you are. PAMPER THYSELF! You deserve it. You need it. Your body, your sanity and your life will thank you for it. I don’t want to hear that “OMG, I’m a mom and don’t have time.” crap. Bull, girl. Because even if it means waking up 10 minutes earlier to do something for YOU, it most certainly can be done. You are worth it. You better recognize. And while I do pamper myself regularly, it had been a while since I treated myself to a facial. And it was starting to look like it, too. Shame. So I pulled out Clinique’s Pore Refining Charcoal Mask.
Mannnnn, you guys.
I am soooo here for a stress-free life. I want to live it daily. I yearn for it. I crave it. But truthfully, I only get it when I’m on an exotic island, staying in a hotel and breathing beach air daily. So yeah. Our family vacation was in Puerto Rico this year and we had a blast.
Elle didn’t want to leave the water or the pool and Esposo and I loved having so many helping hands assist with toddler duties. We were so excited to get away on a date but uh, we took a nap instead. Which was probably better than a date. Just sayin’. Good sleep is a GOOD thing. I would have also loved to take a ton of pictures of the property to come back and do a thorough post on it but geez, guys…I was a true bum in Puerto Rico. And I’m soooo okay with that! But I did take soooooome pictures.
I know, right? From the woman that was all like Isn’t 1 kid enough? and from the mother who never once in her life had baby fever comes a baking fetus. Isn’t life hilarious? I have to find the humor and joy in it all. Here I am still shocked that I’m a parent of 1 and I’m about to be parent of 2. Someone hold me.
I have a love/hate relationship with my skin. Which I know sounds awful, but hear me out for a minute. Good skin isn’t just a physical thing, it can also be very emotional. When my skin looks good, I feel good. I’m more confident. I tend to smile more and I love using makeup to highlight areas on my skin. But when I’m going through a breakout, I can’t say I’m as confident. I’ve been known to avoid social events simply because I had one too many pimples. It sounds shallow but I know many ladies can relate. Healthy skincare matters. A lot! Lately, I’ve been keeping it simple. You know, nothing too advanced or extraordinary. For a beauty blogger, my routine is actually pretty boring…
- Nightly massage
- Daily lip treatments
