For The Sweetest Smelling You…

Mother’s Day is coming up! Every time this holiday rolls around I always forget that now I’m a Mother, too. I instantly get in “What should I get my Mom?” mode. Pretty sweet of me, huh? Grandma Clumps is big on scents and so I’m thinking that maybe I should get her some fragrances this year. The Love2Love fragrance line recently hit Walmart stories nationwide and while I haven’t sniffed these fragrances just yet, something tells me they will be woooonderful.

Love2Love

The brand has launched 4 blended scents including the following:

  • Freesia Violet Petal
  • Orange Blossom White Musk
  • Fresh Rose Peach
  • Jasmine Sparkling Mimosa

You gotta love the diversity in the scents. From floral to citrusy and woodsy, there are notes to suit everyone and I think I have an idea of which one my Mom would go for.

Love2Love-Freesia-and-Violet

She’d be all over the Freesia Violet Petal since she loves the color purple and appreciates floral fragrances. These are reasonably priced at $9.98 (for 3.4 oz) and $6.98 (240ml) and something tells me that they would go pretty quickly. Your best bet? Head to your local Walmart to scoop up a bottle or two for the Mother or the Mother figure in your life. Or if you’d rather get something for yourself, I’m thinking these scents are perfect for Spring.

If you’re feelin’ lucky, visit Walmart.com and design your dream date for a chance to win a Hawaiian vacation. Share the date across your your favorite social media channels with family members and friends by using the hashtag #love2lovewalmart. Sounds easy enough, right? You can’t win if you don’t try! It Smells Like…The Holidays!

Seriously B? You’re doing a post on a room air freshener on your beauty blog?

Yes, I am! And you better not be judging me for it either. Okay, fine…judge me but if I could somehow emit this scent as you read these words, you’d understand WHY I’m writing about this Febreze Noticeables. First of all, it smells freaking phenomenal. But yeah, that’s a given. It is also getting me a bit more in the holiday spirit. And with  a few days left before Christmas gets here, I kinda need that.

You see, I don’t even have a Christmas tree set up. No decorations. Nothing. And this is sooooo not like me. Baby Clumps’ impending birth + chronic fatigue has me out of the holiday spirit so far the fragrance from this little decorative fragrance wall plug has been one of the only things to get me to feel…jolly.

And this means a lot because I am totally one of those people who like to go all out for the holidays. But whatever, if the most I can get this year is pleasant vibes from this Cranberry & Frost scent, then I’ll take it. Proctor & Gamble gifted me with this sample and I just felt so inclined to share my love for these things. I can’t wait until they go on sale so I can scoop up more. I mean, they last forever so it’ll be well into February before we need to re-up from this one.

Cost: $5.99 or less
Where to buy ‘em from: Any drugstore, Target, Walmart, select grocery stores

‘Excuse me while I go back in the living room and catch a whiff. Don’t worry. I’m not doing any hardcore sniffin’ of it.

I’m in Orlando this weekend so I can’t make it. *tears* But if you do, I’d love to hear about it.

Thanks to LUSH’s Greench Deodorant, my feet don’t stink!

In case you haven’t noticed, it’s hot as a jaguar’s mouth outside. Unless of course you live in Johannesburg, South Africa or Angmagssalik, Greenland. In which case, I envy you like you wouldn’t believe.

Like okay…I know it’s ALWAYS hot in Florida but every year it seems to get worse and worse. But good thing I’ve got funk bustin’ products to keep me dry and from smelling like a foot. Take LUSH’s Greeench Deodorant ($9.95) for example.

This vegan powerful powder will work wonderfully for you and your favorite guy. It includes thyme and tea tree so your fella won’t have to smell like a dainty little flower. At the same time, it isn’t SO masculine that you’ll have your coworkers mistaking you for the boss man every time you walk by.

It’s been a few months since I’ve worn traditional deodorant so this stuff is right up my alley. According to LUSH, “Microfine magnesium trisilicate and sodium bicarbonate keep your pits dry and comfortable, free from discomfort and moisture. The Greeench can be used on armpits, backs, feet and anywhere that needs a bit of herbal assistance.” (source) Well, ain’t that just nifty? An all-purpose funk busting powder that I can pretty much dump on my head? It’s pretty epic, all right.

The Guy seems to love it more than I do. I love to sprinkle a bit of it in my shoes and socks. Sweaty feet is anything but sexy. But when it comes to using it on the pits, I find it be effective but the smell just isn’t for moi. If you aren’t a fan of the herbs rosemary, thyme, sage and clubmoss, then I’m afraid this powder may not be for you.

BUT, if you’re in the market for a healthier approach to bustin’ funk and don’t mind herb-y scents, this bacteria fighting powder will be right up your alley.

Products like this are why I really love LUSH though. They’re so innovative yo. LUSH is what dreams are made of.

Snag these from LUSH stores and online for $9.95. Have you or would you give this deodorizing powder a whirl?

Yo, LUSH Karma solid perfume…I love you!

It’s been forever and a day since I’ve splurged on an actual perfume. My nose isn’t even attracted to them anymore. I am now a fan of fragrances that have more of natural and woodsy scent. Plus, I find that they are better for me health-wise. Traditional fragrances tend to mess with my allergies a bit. I didn’t WANT to purchase this solid perfume from LUSH. But alas, my favorite LUSH guy convinced me to…

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I LOVE this fragrance. If I could bottle my personality up in a scent, Karma would be it. It’s subtle but strong. It isn’t demanding but it leaves a mark. It lingers, it’s interesting and it definitely can’t be compared to any other scent. It’s original and unique. It has patchouli and citrus notes and I can see how many people don’t like it. It isn’t your average fragrance. And I think that’s why I love it so much.

The solid perfume is long-lasting and perfect for traveling. I’ve been using it for a month or so now and I’ve still got a big chunk left. Not bad for $9.95. And because many LUSH fans realize how awesome Karma is, it also comes in a body cream, bubble bar, body powder and soap. But I like it best on the wrists and on my neck. You know you want to try it. Snag it from the LUSH website or take a stroll to your neighborhood LUSH store.
