Green Nail Polish for St. Patrick’s Day

Green nail polish for St. Patrick's Day

Okay, for the record – I am not Irish. Not even a little bit. I mean, maybe but I doubt it. Probably not. So yeah. I never get into celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. I’ve never had green beer and I’ll likely punch you in the throat if you pinch me for not wearing green. *snort*

Okay, I’m kidding. Maybe a little. But I DO looooove the color green. It’s one of my favorite nail polish colors. I know a lot of nail polish lovers will be whipping out green nail polishes out in honor of St. Patrick’s Day so I decided to highlight some of my favorites.

Merry Christmas 2014!

Holidays (1)

Love you guys. I mean it. I know I haven’t been the best blogger sister/friend/cousin/BFF in your head but I’ve got some great things down the pipeline and I promise if you hang in there with me, I’ll make you proud.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Season’s Greetings to all!

Happy 4th of July, America!

Happy 4th of July

Because any holiday is reason enough for me to indulge in a cupcake. Just sayin’… Truthfully, though – I’ve always acknowledged Juneteenth more than the 4th of July since it relates to history more but hey, I am all about that freedom stuff and whatnot. Sending my fellow Americans lots of positive vibes. Enjoy this day and keep it safe!

Also, would I be a mean parent if I woke my babe up and took her to see fireworks? Seriously though! Elle goes to bed at 7pm and fireworks don’t start until 9pm. I reallllly want to take her. I’ll wake her. Yeah.

Enjoy your day!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I know most people hate this commercialized holiday but I love love therefore Valentine’s Day doesn’t bother me too much. Plus, holidays now give me a reason to take embarrassing photos of Elle. Who puts their baby in a laundry basket for a photo shoot? Yeah. I’m a mess.

But I hope you love me for it.

XOXO

Happy Thanksgiving 2011!

Is it just me or is Fall prettier this year? I didn’t even know Florida had Fall. I’m so used to seeing green trees and green grass but for the first time EVER, I’ve been falling in love with the changing of the season.

Mama Clumps’ house is decked out to the fullest.

…and with just a few Christmas-y stuffs on the horizon.

I so love this time of year. And I so love my Clumps of Mascara and I am beyond thankful for your love and support.

Loves y’all and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Happy Memorial Day!

I’m takin’ this day off in observance of the American holiday known as Memorial Day. Memorial Day is where we take some time to observe the military men and women that have lost their lives fighting for our country.

Mascara Monday will resume next week!

Creamy shadows for a Valentine’s Day look

Valentine’s Day. I know, I know. Some of us love it and the rest of us feel like crawling in a hole until February 14 comes and goes. The Love Dork that is me has always REALLY liked Valentine’s Day. And I like to go all out when it comes make-up and nails. If you’re looking for some awesome eye shadows, check out these lovely ones from Sephora.

Stunning right? But wait…

These kids are total winners in my book. While they are intended for eye shadows, I find that they work better as bases. And you have to work quickly because once they dry, they ain’t budgin’. The sponge-tip applicators may make for tough application. My suggestion? Dap a bit on your fingers and theeeeen apply the shadows on your lids. I’ll be doing an FOTD or two using these kids. They are surprisingly crease-less and fantabulous. Not bad for $20. You can scoop ‘em up at Sephora stores or Sephora.com.

Got any idea Valentine’s Day look ideas?

Happy Martin Luther King Day!

I took this picture when I went to Washington D.C. this past summer. I stood on a little plate that indicated that that location is where Martin Luther King stood when he made his “I Have A Dream” speech.

That’s pretty deep, uh?

This day has always had some significance to me. It was never just a day off. Whether I’m in a parade or attend some festivities, this day always gives me a chance to remember our past. And it’s even more so a motivator to work hard in the present so that I can leave footprints for the future.

Happy Martin Luther King Day.
