Wet ‘n Wild Matte Lip Colors – Yep, You Need ‘Em

This post was submitted by Tiffany! A fabulous Clumps of Mascara contributor.

Wet n Wild Velvet Matte Lip Color

So we introduced y’all to these babies on Instagram, but now the full review is here!

Wet ‘N Wild doesn’t disappoint when it comes to keeping up with the trends on a budget and these Velvet Matte Lip Pencils are no different! The name describes them so well. They are definitely matte as in no sheen or shine to them, but the velvety finish keeps them from being too drying. The formula almost reminds of Maybelline’s Matte Lipsticks, which I adore, so that was a win in my book.

I bought the colors Hickory Smoked (A363), Charred Cherry (A364), and Berry Tales (A366). Hickory Smoked and Charred Cherry ended up being my favs since I found them very easy to wear without needing to tweak them to look right on me. Berry Tales was too light for my taste, however, it is a pretty color and some of you ladies will be able to rock it fabulously!

The Ultimate Beauty Bag of Luxury Makeup

Luxury Makeup

Ahhhhh, luxury makeup. They call me an enabler. I’ll be that. I will be that friend that encourages you to buy another red lipstick even though you already have 14. I am the gal pal that sends you recommendations when you’re stumped in the middle of Sephora. I got you, baby. I am here for you. And these items? I’m thinking you should grab one or two or you know, at least 5 pieces from this luxury makeup list. You’ll thank me later.

I promise.

Now don’t get all huffy and puffy on me. Some of these items are a bit on the pricey side. I know, girl, I know. Hey! Some of us save our pennies to invest in the finer things in life. Prefer only drugstore picks? No problema. I’ll have something for you frugalistas later down the line. But for now…it’s all about that luxe life.

5 of the Best Beauty Items Under $10

Best Beauty Items under 10

I’m doing another post with my Makeup Wars sisters and this week we’re talking about some our favorite beauty items that just happen to be under $10 a piece. This is easy for me since I tend to lean more to lower-end cosmetics versus the expensive stuff. I can make more money in life and still have a hard time justifying a $40 mascara. Seriously, y’all. Luckily the babies that I’m mentioning in this posts are not only affordable but easy to find, too. Woohoo!

Best Eye Shadow Palette: Sleek Makeup – $9.60

I first discovered Sleek Makeup sometime last year and I’ve been hooked on them ever since. They recently sent me a box of goodies and I got to sneak a peek at a new palette. I haven’t tried them all but I do own thier  i-Divine AU Natural Palette and giiiiirl, lemme tell you. It is the real deal. I’m amazed at how cheap they are because the quality of the shadows are pretty stellar. Long lasting, extra pigmented and full of various textures, I have yet to come across a palette from them that I didn’t love.

Best Makeup Brushes: Real Techniques – $9.92

I’ve been on the Real Techniques bandwagon for quite some time and I’m still a rollin’. They can do no wrong in my eyes. They are the reason why I don’t even look at higher end makeup brushes. Sold online and at ULTA, finding a makeup brush that is efficient and lasts through tons of applications and washes couln’t be easier. I have a ton of their brushes but really it’s this Core Collection set that I can’t get enough of. I recommend it time and time again to  anyone who wants really good makeup brushes that are also affordable.

Last Minute Spring Beauty Tips – Before Summer Hits!

Spring Beauty Tips

I’m so excited for Spring right now. I mean, granted next month is Summer but whatever. I’ll take these breezy days over the scorching days that are soon approaching us here in Florida. But Spring beauty tips? They are some kind of awesome. The part I love best – they’re so simple to do. I mean honestly, how many times have you seen the latest trends only to think “I’d need my own personal makeup artist to do that?” Nooooope. Not this season. These Spring beauty trends are sexy, simple and must tries.

Zero Makeup

It can’t get much simpler than this. I know it’s scary, but try going without makeup sometimes. You look incredible as you are.

Red Lips

I adore red lipstick. The classic is back in full force. Get out your favorite red and wear it proudly. If red’s not your thing, opt for a wine color instead. It’s just as popular this season.

Negative Space Manis

Usually bare spots mean you’ve chipped a nail. Negative space manis mean you leave open space on purpose. Leave an empty stripe or shape when you paint your nails. Get creative and check out Pinterest for inspiration.

OFRA Cosmetics Mina Liquid Lipstick Review & Giveaway

OFRA Mina Liquid Lipstick

I told you I’d be back with another post showcasing the glorious OFRA Cosmetics. I’ve been slowly making my way around some of those goodies that I got from the blogger meetup. And when I heard that my girl Mina was the inspiration behind the brand’s newest Liquid Lipstick, I just HAD to buy one. I mean, yes, I wanted to support my girl, but ohmigoodness, I was in love the first time I saw that color.

OFRA Mina liquid lipstick

See what I’m sayin’? I can also understand how a shade like this may intimidate some people. At first glance, it appears to be a bit dark and vampy and fitting for the cooler seasons, but hey – don’t go around judging lippies at first glance, girl.
