Christmas with my Milani JewelFX polishes

You know what I’m going to use as ornaments next year? Nail polishes.

How epic would that be? Epic beyond epic. I’m like Mama Clumps in that regard. I also do themed Christmas trees. I’m not a big fan of random ornaments all over the tree. And considering how much I love nail polishes, I think a nail polish tree would be quite fitting.

Of course I’d have to run that by Esposo but I’m sure he’d be down with it. Kinda. If you’re one of those people that really get into Christmas tree decorations and you know you’ll spending the holidays with a beauty lover, hide some of those lovely Milani JewelFX polishes in and around the tree…

..or stockings.

With darling little Tartan Tips tags attached, you can easily print who the gift is for. I am an enormous fan of these glittery topcoats.

Go Milani go. Of course you can get them at drugstores, Target and anywhere you can find Milani products..

Blue hair don’t care thanks to Milani’s Color streaks

I’m not a gal that appreciates her natural hair color. Which sounds oh so awful but seriously…my naturally dark brown hair is just boring. Not that I need hot pink hair to feel alive but come on…a little hair color ain’t never hurt no one. I was super excited when Milani released their Limited Edition Color Streaks.

These were a July 2011-exclusive item but I’ve still been seeing them in stores so you may be able to grab a few. I believe they retail for around $7.99 or so. Simply put, these Color Streaks are hair mascaras.

These little temporary tubes of hair dye can add a pop of color to your locks with just one stroke. Or ten. My belief is products like these really aren’t made for my hair type. But considering that my hair type is pretty specific, I don’t get offended by it. These are probably easier for guys and gals with straighter hair. That wasn’t going to stop me for giving it a try!

After some stained fingers….

I had a few blue locs.

Which eventually turned green after a day at the beach.

I absolutely loved the look. Then again, I’m the same gal that has dyed her hair red, orange and purple. The color washed out right after one wash. I wouldn’t call it a “dye” because it certainly isn’t as toxic as one. But if you’re desirous of some quick color and can still find these, I’d say scoop ‘em up.

And I know what you’re thinking…this can’t be used on the lashes. The consistency is slightly water-y and there is a memo on the tube that says not to do. Granted I’m a rule breaker but I don’t mess with the ojos. 8)

Milani’s Limited Edition Paint Eyeshadow palette. Yep, you need it.

Nothing scares a beauty blogger more than the words “limited edition”. Those two words alone invoke some kind of frenzy within our souls. We begin scrambling and trying to figure out how we can a) prevent said product from going into beauty extinction or b) spend thousands of dollars purchasing limited edition items. I’m kidding about both, but still…limited edition is not a good word.

That said, if you find this palette in stores, buy it.

And not just because it’s limited edition, but because its a cheap and pigmented palette from one of our favorite brands. If none of that woos you, then just buy it because it looks pretty.

Seriously…isn’t it gorgeous?

Beauty Review: Milani 3D Glitzy Gloss

If there is a product that you desperately need in your life, how many drugstores would you hit up in order to find it and take it home?

That’s not a trick question, y’all. And don’t judge me when I say this but I searched almost 12 CVS’ and Walgreens to find these lippies. Yeah, I know you’re giving me the side eye but I did this for you guys. I promise! If I weren’t a blogger, I darn sure wouldn’t be doing crazy stuffs like this. But when I heard that Milani came out with a blue gloss, all I could think was, “Must.Get.It.Now.”

But first, let’s talk about Milani’s Fashion Diva and how similar it is to MAC’s Funtabulous. I reviewed Funtabulous sometime ago and it always been one of my favorite lip glosses EVA! But while I am an enormous fan of MAC’s Dazzleglass, I was never a fan of spending $18 for one. That’s a hefty price tag for a gloss yo. My collection of them as never been more than 3 because of this.

Milani’s 3D Glitz glosses are pretty good dupes for the Dazzleglasses. The consistency is not as thick, sticky and pigmented as the Dazzleglass, though. These of course means that they aren’t as long lasting.

Still a steal nonetheless. And Fashion Diva looks A LOT like Funtabulous and it’s only $6.49. Heyyy!!!

And now back to Movie Star because this blue gloss is truly rocking my world. When used alone, it is rather sheer and the neon blue sparkles are hardly noticed.

I wanted to see how it look layered on top of one of my favorite Inglot lipsticks.

Loves it! Now I hate to be a dream basher but finding Movie Star is like THEE hardest thing ever. I haven’t seem to locate it in a good 2 months. Hopefully you’ll be able to track down Movie Star and her other 6 friends. You can find them at CVS, Walgreens and K-Mart.

Have you tried these yet? How do you think they compare to MAC’s Dazzleglass?
