Sally Hansen’s eyelash curler is like…totally cool.

Promise me you won’t judge me, okay? Up until a few days ago I had not curled my lashes in months. Months, I say!  While some of y’all may be like “Really B? Who cares?”, others know how much of a difference a few pumps of a eyelash curler can do.

The reason why I’ve gone so long without one? I couldn’t locate any of mine and I was just too cheap to buy a new one. But then I found a coupon for $2 off of any Sally Hansen beauty tool and I was tempted to finally purchase one. Well, what do you know? As soon as I walked through CVS’ beauty aisle, I saw some of Sally Hansen’s newest tools–one being a darling eyelash curler.

To the newbie eye, one may assume that all eyelash curlers are the same but I certainly beg to differ. The Sexy Curls Precision Eyelash Curler has many attributes of a GOOD eyelash curler. And here’s why.

A) It’s affordable. With the coupon, this baby was less than $5. Heyyyy!!

B) My fat fingers can fit through!

Laugh if you want, but I’m glad to know that my mumbo jumbo fingers can comfortably grip the curler.

C) It doesn’t give the L-shaped curl.

Ay yi yi…nothing sucks more than ending up with a L-shaped lashes. While you can blame yourself for pressing down  little TOO hard, it’s good to know that you can push it to the limit with this curler and not endure 90 degree angle’d lashes.

So yes, my darlings….if you’re in the market for a new eyelash curler, I’d give this one a try. I  was pleasantly surprised. Oh! And if you’re a CVS  fanatical stan shopper, like me, you may find a $2-off coupon right BY the eyelash curlers. Ooooh yeah.

Loves ya,

B

Amor de Lacquer: Sally Hansen’s cuticle gel=total must have!

It’s been a minute since I’ve repurchased my favorite cuticle gel. For someone who uses it at least every week, the stuff seems to last forever. So when I went to re-up, I found that the tweaked the formula a bit by adding jojoba and kiwi extract.

Really? Just how in the world could they make this gel any better? Hit the jump to see what I’m talkin’ about.

Welcome to another post of Amor de Lacquer….the series all about nail polish and nail care! Send me your requests, suggestions and ideas to Brittany@ClumpsOfMascara.com.

I am 500 years late in reviewing these kids. In fact, I did a complete review of them on my YouTube channel but I wanted to be sure to do a post as well. Simply put, these nail polish strips have really surprised me. They do have their up’s and down’s but considering how many funky designs they come in and how easy they are to apply ,the up’s are WAAAAY up there. Hit the jump for more.

Amor de Lacquer: Sally Hansen holiday nail polish 2010

B, what is Christmas like in Florida? I get this question a lot. Short answer? It’s great. I mean, don’t get me wrong–there is nothing like sipping cocoa while chestnuts roast on an open fire. I love bundling up and wearing boots and scarves. But would I trade all of that for doing cannonballs in the pool in late November? No ma’am.

And although we’re hittin’ 85 degrees here in Orlando, sometimes it’s hard to get into the holiday spirit because it just doesn’t feel like Christmas time. Hence why I love when my favorite beauty brands come out with collections that are holiday-appropriate.

OMG, just WAIT until you see how dynamite that gold is. Just wait. Hit the jumps to see the collection up close.

Amor de Lacquer: Tracy Reese for Sally Hansen, Fall 2010

Welcome to another post of Amor de Lacquer….the series all about nail polish and nail care! Send me your requests, suggestions and ideas to Brittany@ClumpsOfMascara.com.

Tracy Reese does it again. I have always been a huge fan of Lady Reese’s pieces. (I made a rhyme, hehe :)). Seriously, lovelies…does this not scream B?

This could be mine for only $408.00. Uh...Santa?

It also screams “Out of my price range and no size 12″. Le sigh is right. Looks like I’ll have to settle for the Fall 2010 Tracy Reese for Sally Hansen.

Which, by the look of those colors ain’t a bad thing.

Sally Hansen’s Diamonds and Hidden Treasure

Happy Saturday, darlings!

I just HAD to tell you about the awesomeness that is Sally Hansen.

They’ve partnered with Brides Magazine and The Diamond Vault Collection and one lucky winner will win a custom diamond eternity band valued at $3,000, and a collection of Sally Hansen® wedding-worthy products, including Diamond Strength® Nail Color for brilliant nails and Diamond 12 Hour Lip Treatment for lavish lips and lasting moisture. The contest is here.

What an awesome gift for my brides or brides-to-be! And since we’re talkin’ about Lady SH, the beauty/nail blogosphere is going nuts over the polish Hidden Treasure.

The polish was released with the 2010 Tracey Reese Spring collection and it is like THEE hardest polish to find ever. In fact, I tweeted my whereabouts on Four Square. And was elated when I found Hidden Treasure!

Sally Hansen is buy 1, get 1 50% of this week so I snagged Thinking of Blue and layered the hard to find Hidden Treasure on top.

Is it not faint worthy or what? Brooke from Getcha Nails Did the BEST layering with this polish. And my girl Scrangie reviews the entire collection. If you’ve seen this polish anywhere, snag it with the quickness! But then again, it is rather hidden so good luck with that.

Happy Mother’s Day weekend to all of my Mommies!

Beauty Review: Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Forever Stay eye pencil

Okay seriously…the title of this post is like…way too long. Right? Don’t blame me, loves. Blame Sally Hansen for having a super long product name. But you know what? That’s the only thing I can complain about when it comes to this product.

Seriously, it’s pretty freakin’ awesome.

Need some quick pros? Okay, check this…

-It doesn’t have any parabens
-It’s affordable ($7.49? Holla!)
-It is waterproof and doesn’t budge. At all. No really. Not at all!

Oh, and did I mention that it is affordable? That’s reason enough to love it. This Natural Beauty collection by Carmindy is really wow-ing me.

Those that know me know well know that I swear by Urban Decay’s liners. And I will never stop loving them. The prices are a little steep but in terms of waterproof liners in a ton of colors that actually STAY put? They deliver! However (don’t you hate when teachers/professors say that? Blah!), these aren’t too bad.

Those are the stats of the liner. It being paraben free is HUGE in my book. If you don’t know about parabens, read this article. I can’t say that ALL of the beauty products I use are paraben-free but owning a liner like this is certainly a step in the right direction.

For $7.49, you get a nice size liner with a smooth tip.

It doesn’t require any special pencil sharpener either. What really impressed me about the pencil is how dark, rich and creamy it is…

Oh la la, right? There was absolutely no tugging on the water line. Check out how it compares to Urban Decay’s 24/7 liner in Zero.

And then we did a quick smudge test….

And a water test…

Sally Hansen holds up pretty good, uh?

It’s great, y’all. Great! As far as its availability, you should be able to find it your local CVS and Rite Aid stores. A lot of U.S. Clumps readers have been able to find it so yay to Sally Hansen for having it all over. I just hope that it doesn’t get discontinued like…tomorrow. That would suck. A lot.

Have you tried this liner yet? Have you tried any drugstore liners that rocked your world? Or not so much?
