Gather around, my loves. For it is time that we talk about dental beauty. I covered a bit of this a few weeks ago when I talked about my toddler’s dental routine, but let’s talk about how us grown folx should be taking care of our teeth.

It has been forever and a day since I’ve played around this brand but I am excited to see that they are still some kind of awesome. In addition to cleaning the teeth, Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant is intended to strengthen and whiten teeth for a more radiant smile. Which, of course, is a total necessity for us beauty bloggers who are always cheesin’ at a camera.

Yes, I know you think that all toothpaste is created equally but no way, girlfriend. I’ve been lovin’ on Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant because it removes 100% more surface stains than other toothpastes and hello, it’s the only toothpaste with baking soda, peroxide and active calcium. Using this toothpaste is so much easier than mixing the baking soda and peroxide in a cup and dipping the toothbrush in. Yes, I come from the old skool. While that may work, it’s good to know that Truly Radiant is a fluoride anticavity toothpaste because nooooo one has time for cavities. No one.

And speaking of the toothbrush…

Have you ever tried the Arm & Hammer Spinbrush? It is pretty comparable to higher end toothbrushes and I can’t get enough of it. Powered by 2 AA batteries, the Truly Radiant Spinbrush removes 100% more plague than a manual toothbrush. And trust me, you can tell the difference after the first time that you use it.

But really it’s the Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant Booster that I find intriguing. This stuff is supposed to whiten teeth in just 1 week AND it contains 3x more whitening agent than a leading white strip.

I am still in the process of using it but I love that it is easy to use and doesn’t require any extra steps. You apply just a wee bit before your toothpaste, brush and go!

If you are feeling the clean and healthy teeth vibes, visit the Truly Radiant website and read tips to bring out your inner radiance on how to live radiantly. I absolutely love her personality and she has me wanting to live radiantly everyday!

My favorite toothpaste has a new flavor. Woot!

I shall premise this post saying I’ve got a dentist appointment in a few weeks and I am freakin’ out. Have I ever told y’all how much I haaate the dentist? The good news is, my hatred for the dentist  has resulted in good heath care. The more I take care of my teeth at one, the less painful it will be when I go to the dentist. And sure, I’ve gone a day without flossing once or twice. But dude, I’ve only had 2 cavities in my whole life and my dentist swears I do whitening treatments.

Um no. I don’t. I just brush with Colgate’s Optic White toothpaste.

Remember when I reviewed it last Fall? They’re back with a new flavor and I think I dig it more than the original.

I’ve been using this toothpaste for a while and yes, my teefs are white. Of course I cooooould thank one of my parents as good dental health is genetic. But instead, I’ll thank Colgate. 8)

If you find the Cool Mild Mint flavor in your drugstore, snag it up. The fresh breath coupled with the whitening power of hydrogen peroxide kinda rocks.

Dental beauty question! Are you okay with visiting the dentist or are you slightly terrified like me?

Dental Beauty: Colgate’s Optic White toothpaste

My dentist and I are good friends. She applauds me for having the most impeccable rows of teeth that she’s ever seen and I bring her beauty goodies. Fair trade if I do say so myself. Okay, soooo…I’m exaggerating. I don’t have THEE most impeccable rows of teeth. But considering I’ve never had braces or professional bleach jobs OR anything other than a cavity filling (hate me yet?), I’d say my dental beauty is up to par. Even more so now that I’ve got Colgate Optic White.

This toothpaste promises to give your teefs the white strips effect. This has me through the roof. I’m not a fan of white strips. There, I said it. Perhaps my teeth are super sensitive but the few times that I used them, I was left in tears. My teeth were so painfully sensitive that even eating hurt. I am so glad to see a better alternative. With the same whitening ingredients as the white strips, Colgate Optic has been a total BFF in my cabinet.

But even better than that is the Optic White toothbrush with whitening cups.

This toothbrush is sheer awesomeness.

Have I noticed a huge improvement in how white my teeth are? Not yet. But I reckon with a few more weeks, I’ll be singing braces to the Colgate Optic family. In the meantime, if you’re in market for a new toothbrush and toothpaste, I highly recommend giving Colgate Optic White a whirl. They don’t hit stores until September but when they do, run to your nearest drugstore and snag ‘em with the quickness.

What do you think? Are you a friend of white strips or would you rather get the same effect from a toothpaste?

I know what’ you’re thinking. You’re probably like, “Really B? This is a beauty blog. Who cares about toothpaste?”

Um, you should if you intend on keeping those pearly whites white and healthy. Mama Clumps has been on the natural toothpaste tip for while and it wasn’t until recently when I decided to give it a whirl.

But was it a winner or was my grill too used to traditional toothpastes to keep giving the PowerSmile a try?
