The Makeup Show Orlando has a special place in my heart. I was at the very first Show and I’ve been to every once since then. My kids have gone with me to the Show and I absolutely love the networking and reuniting with my Beauty Bloggers of Central Florida ladies.
But each year that I go, I intend to have a certain focus. And it’s not always buying a bunch of cool stuff or interviewing makeup artists and celebrities. Sometimes it’s about taking everything in, enjoying what’s around without pressure of trying to see #allthethings.
Maybe it’s the minimalist blogger in me. Less is more these days and trying to take 100 pictures, 100 videos and talk to 100 people well…I’m just not here for it. A few brands caught my eye but I didn’t spend much time visiting all of the booths. I checked out the ones that looked interesting to me and kept it moving.
My favorite part of this year’s show was listening to Director of Artistry Relations and Education James Vincent. He shines on stage and he does such a wonderful job cluing media in on what’s hot and not. I get more education on trends from James than I do from a year’s worth of scouring blogs and videos. He lays it all out so nicely.
The Original Mama Clumps joined me as a member of the press this year and she had an absolute blast getting a brow makeover by the very talented Eugenia Weston of Senna Cosmetics.
How fabulous is my mama? Yeah, she’s fine and she knows it. Together we explored the happening brands and sat in on a few presentations and took a really relaxed approach to navigatin TMS Orlando this year.
I think I prefer this experience compared to what I’ve done in previous years – I didn’t feel as swamped but also felt as if I got a good feel for what’s trending (glow, glow, natural brows and more glow) while connecting with my beauty babes.
See you in 2018, TMS Orlando!
