I have a special relationship with this inanimate object. Had it not been this foundation’s existence, I would have never had the opportunity to meet Iman. Luxury Radiance Liquid Makeup will always have a special place in my heart.
And my face because it’s actually pretty darn good!
This coming from a chick that never wants to wear foundation because she fears her skin will break out within 2 days of an application.
My skin behaved long enough for me to give a good review of Iman’s newest foundation. First let’s get some background information about this kid. It’s…
That simply means that this oil-free foundation contains vitamin E, micro-mineral pigments and a plant extract complex of Acia and Magnolia. These minerals not only help hydrate the skin but also assist in enhancing the skin tone. This foundation gives a semi-matte finish and includes mica pearls that add a bit of a glow to the skin.
It comes in 8 different shades. I’m Earth 3! Which is kinda cool being that the Capricorn sign is an earth sign. Holla!
The great thing about this foundation is that it provides a sheer-to-medium coverage. This works perfectly for those of us who don’t desire full coverage, such as myself. A quick swatch…
And how it looks on me…
Blends in beautifully, uh? I apply the foundation only to my cheeks as those are the only areas I like to conceal. I can notice the mica pearls at initial application but they appear to fade away when I dust a translucent powder or blush over the foundation. It wears well and I didn’t find it slipping away in the Florida heat and humidity.
The only drawback is that the foundation does not have any SPF in it. I suppose I can live with that since my daytime moisturizer already has SPF in it. But still…*pouts*
You can grab this foundation anywhere Iman Cosmetics products are sold for $15.00. That includes Walgreens, Target, Wal-Mart, Ulta and Duane Reade. Select drugstores even have testers. No more “hoping” that you’ve got the right color.
If you aren’t a regular foundation or taking baby steps into the foundation world, this one comes highly recommended from me. Go Iman go!
Have you tried this foundation yet? Whatcha think?
I feel you, my skin is picky too.

I don't use foundation for the same reason. I finally have my skin clear so I'm wary of foundation. I may try this Iman product, great review!
Since I've been reading your blog, I've wanted to try Iman cosmetics, but I can't find it anywhere.
How do you put it on? With a brush or a wedge or your fingers?
Thanks y'all!
I Bleed Pink—> Iman is at most drugstores, Target and Ulta. Oh! And BeautyTicket.com has a few products from them as well.
Britney—> I actually apply it with my fingers. I keeps it real simple. 😉
I haven't seen Iman anywhere in my area 🙁 I looked at Target, CVS, Walgreen….nothing. I'm sad cause I want to try it!
i might pick this up today girl reveiew
This is a VERY helpful post. I shy away from liquid foundations, too. But hearing you say it didn't make you break out AND it survived the heat make me want to check this out. I'm bummed about the lack of SPF too. I think every layer should have some in case one layer wipes off the protection underneath.
Have you heard of a mattifier with SPF?
I love this foundation, and I like the fact that there is no spf, because sometimes when you take pictures the spf in a foundation can make you look "whiter" or ashy. So, I just use my own moisturizer, and that keeps me from looking like I lost a fight with a bottle of baby powder in pics.
Kizzy-online—> Whaaat, really? Try BeautyTicket.com. They don't have the foundation but they have other amazing Iman products.
Lisa—> Noo, I haven't. What a genius product though. I really do wish foundations already had those things in them. I need as few products on my skin as possible.
Anon—> Very good point! SPF tends to have to give brown girls that ghost-y look.
I can’t wait to try this foundation. The price is great compared to some of the high end brands that I’ve tried. I’m just tired of breaking out lol (laugh to keep from crying)!! So I hope this works out for me.
