I don’t have aspirations to be a speaker.
I mean, I have things to say but I do so much better connecting with small groups and 1-on-1. Speaking to at conferences make me nervous and for that reason, I’m doing it.
Baby, I’m coming back! I spoke at Blogalicious years ago when it was first held in Atlanta. I was on a panel with dynamic women and I felt so out of my element.
Everyone seemed more professional than me.
More successful than me.
They had more experience and they seemed to have it all together.
Well, guess what? I STILL don’t have it all together and for that reason, I am absolutely okay with talking to the world. What is my session going to be on? Are you ready for this?
Creating a Community When You’re Introverted
and Awkward AF
Are you laughing yet? Don’t laugh. I’m so serious! I’ve done a lot of things in these 10 years of rocking with Clumps of Mascara but if there is anything I feel great at discussing, it’s how I’ve managed to talk, network, bond with and roll with people despite the fact that I am so introverted.
“Omgggg B! You aren’t introverted!”
Girl please. Do you know me? Do you know how much I LOVE being alone (regularly)? And how too many humans make my heart beat too quickly? And how I fear I may not say the right thing at the right time? And how I’ve turned down experiences because I just didn’t want to deal with people? You think that just because I can be a goof on YouTube that I’m not introverted? Oh buddy.
I’m thrilled to talk to fellow influencers and bloggers who know they have a voice but may struggle with letting their light shine because well..they feel SO awkward.
See you in Miami, babe. And if you aren’t going to be there but would like to see this recorded, let me know! Maybe I can get a gal pal to record the session.
Wish me luuuuuuck.
