Hello everyone! I’m sure some of you ladies out there wear prescription eyewear. For me, I’ve been wearing glasses for years and eye makeup is the one part of my makeup that I love expressing my creativity in. With glasses it gets even trickier to figure out how to place your eye shadows exactly to create a flawless look that others can see from behind your frames.
For this tutorial I wanted to create a neutral eye look using a bold eyeliner on the lower lash line. With my type of glasses, I always focus more color on the lower lash line. For my eyeshadow, I tend to use a very bright shimmery shadow on the inner corner to make the eyes appear more open. So how about we start out this tutorial!
The first step is to of course use a primer. The main eyelid shadow is going to be a shimmery copper, someone similar to MAC’s Coppering pigment. Apply this all over the lid while leaving the inner and outer corners bare.
Take a deep brown eyeshadow (preferably matte) and apply this on the outer corner of the eyes to create depth and dimension. Blend the color into the main lid color with your blending brush. Make sure to use the same color on the outer most part of your lower lash line.
Apply a shimmery vanilla color on the inner corner of the eye to brighten up your eyes.
This is the fun part, take bright sea green eyeliner and apply this on the lower lash line for that extra oomph of color!
Curl your lashes and apply mascara and your favourite eyeliner. I prefer to use a gel line for a crisp line. If you want to go for a smoky look use a soft kohl eyeliner and smudge out the eyeliner on the upper lash line.
There you have it! A fun way to jazz up your makeup from behind your glasses!

I love this! I wear glasses as well, but I got so discouraged for wearing makeup with them on because the makeup would just fade behind them. I finally got contacts now and wondered where they were my whole life, but I wish this article was around when I just had glasses. I will still try this though just to see how much I like it with glasses on.
Awesome! I wear glasses too (when I can remember, ha!) and you can definitely make the eyes pop while wearing them.
