I’ve spent more time at Epcot in the past year than I have in…several years. Why did I neglect this park so much? I guess it’s the Mom in me that always thinks Magic/Animal Kingdom = kid-friendliest parks but the reality is, Epcot is pretty incredible.
And I don’t even have to tell you why because you know. Even if you’ve never been, you’re probably well aware of the fact that Epcot in all of its cultural awareness brings the delicious eats. And while some parks remain consistent with their offerings, Epcot through of their festivals and events bring us something new alllllll year.
The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival comes around during Springtime because I mean…when would be a better time to gawk at the beautiful natural and sculpted floral pieces surrounding the park?
The best way to navigate this Festival is to get your official Garden Passport and take a few seconds to flip through the pages of showcases. That includes…
- Topiaries
- Garden Destinations
- Concerts
- Fun for Families
- Outdoor Kitchens
Topiaries
Brace yourself for this one because this is what will really take your breath away. You don’t know beauty until you see a life-size Beauty & the Best creation made from flowers. These are across the park and are incredibly captivating.
Garden Destinations
While you aren’t able to touch the topiaries, the Garden Destinations allow you to up close and personal with the floral aromas and allow you to pretend as if you’re walking through your own secret garden.
Concerts
Because what’s a festival without some good music, right? I didn’t get a chance to catch any of the live music whether you love a good day time musical interlude or a cozy show under the stars, The Flower and Garden Show has you covered.
Fun for Families
EB and Bub are nature junkies as most weekends we are found outside in the backyard or walking the trail near our home. They didn’t go with me to the Festival, but I love that Epcot has created Play Gardens especially for little ones. Kids of all ages can get in and really explore wildlife-friendly areas through activities, projects and fun.
Outdoor Kitchens
Because after all, this is Disney. These Spring-focused and inspired dishes were plentiful across the different countries. Of course being the Food & Wine Festival snob that I am, I would have loved to see more options but what I did get my hands on was delicious, beautiful to look at and totally spoke to the theme and season. With refreshing flavors and local ingredients, there is totally something for everyone.
I’ll be back, Epcot. And once again, thank you for giving us another Festival with flair. This Festival and the International Festival of the Arts are perfect siblings to the Food & Wine Festival.
FTC Disclosure: I received media passes for me and a friend to enjoy Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. We all received a gift certificate to purchase food but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
