Spring time is finally here, y’all! I know, I know… it seems hard to tell if Mother Nature got the memo considering this cold weather all of a sudden, or maybe Winter wasn’t going out quietly. To get those Spring vibes going again, especially with Easter being today, I decided to rock some pastel polish this week to celebrate my second favorite season. Bonus: I’m finally getting to try out a color I’ve had for a minute but didn’t wear because it didn’t match my mood.
This past Christmas, my darling niece gifted me this Essie polish, Go Ginza, which they are describing as “a soft cherry blossom pink” on their website. Online it does appear more pink, however in real life this color reads more as a cool toned lavender on me and in the bottle. It’s still a beautiful color either way, just know that if you’re looking for a true pink this may not be the color for you.
The polish was opaque in one coat, but was a bit runny when applying. Two thin coats were more than enough to get good even coverage. However since it was runny, I found myself having to redo a few nails over *cue angry face* so let me emphasize…apply THIN coats when applying this polish!
Overall, the quality is what I’ve come to expect from Essie. It has great coverage and the color is true to what it looks like in the bottle. I would have liked it to be a little thicker so it could have applied a lot neater, but I made it work!
So how are y’all celebrating Spring? Playing Easter Bunny for your littles?
Werking those pastels?
Enjoying some beautiful flowers?
Getting that summer body workout on?
Have you tried Go Ginza, and if so what did you think?
Drop me a comment below, I’d love to hear from you!
XOXO,
Tiffany
