Girl. Listen. I’ve only really ready one book this year. How crazy is that? Last year, I fell in love with reading. I read over 50 books and was totally feelin’ myself. Insert 2016 and uh…yeah. You’ve heard me complain about it but I’m still struggling in the sleep department. I mean, how well can I take in a book when I’m running on 3-4 hours of sleep?
It’s wild. But whatever. I’m sick of making excuses so even if I can only read 15 minutes at a time and I have to listen to it via audio, I NEED to read and I need to keep educating myself, ya know? It’s important.
And so…I’m back. Nothing says impulse like going from no books on my list to purchasing 5 in just days. Ha! Check out the books that I currently have in my line up.
I mean, far from new but I’ve heard so many great things about this book and I am eager to reach my tipping point, both professionally and personally.
I LOVE fiction. Real life is just too much and I will gladly lose myself in a fictional life with fictional friends and storylines. I scooped this up mainly because I LOVE the beautiful Tia Williams and have been following her on social media forever. She’s talented and inspiring and I can’t wait to read this one.
Last year, I read a good amount of non-fiction but nothing related to business. I have such a huge desire for being the best me but…professionally but I’m not educating myself on how to do this? No ma’am. I had to change that so I’m making a real effort in putting my head in the game.
Ty is a fabulous fellow blogger friend and I just HAD to support her. I’ll be honest, the title of this book shakes me a bit because I have my Mom and I don’t even want to think about her not being in my life. It’s sad, right? Dying IS sad. But if you can gather some learning lessons while coping with the loss of someone you love…that’s kinda happy, right? I’m still anxious about reading this but I’m going to give it try. More than anything, I was just happy to support a fellow blogger gal pal!
I don’t know why I’m JUST now hearing about this book but I ran across it in Target, showed Esposo the title and when we arrived home, I realized that he got it for me.
“Because I’m telling you this ALL the time,” he says.
“Maybe this author can make things a bit more clear for you.”
Well. He’s not lyin’. I’m almost done with this book and Jen has helped me get my life together, man. Everyone that I know who has read this has had nothing but wonderful things to say and I see why. I’m in a space in my life where I kinda need to dive more into self-help pieces and I just love the humor, honesty and simple steps that this book provides. I’ll do a mini review on Instagram after I complete it.
Sooooo, what are you reading? I’d love to add some more books to my list.
