Soooo, it doesn’t come as a surprise that I’m pretty much ALWAYS connected with my phone. It’s the life of a blogger. I wake up, thank God for a new day and start feelin’ around the nightstand for my iPhone. It’s a way of life. I’ve got a gajillion apps on the iPhone but there are only a few that I use regularly. I’ve been playing around with it for a day or so but I’m starting to think that Plum Perfect may be one of those apps that I find myself checking daily.
And here’s why…it’s an app JUST for us beauty lovers! Say whaaaat? But here’s the thing, it’s an intuitive app that actually works really well. I say “actually” because I’ve come across some pretty buggy apps that don’t seem to make the best suggestions. But Plum Perfect brought to you by BeautyStat.com is, well…perfect!
After downloading the FREE app on your download, it asks you to log-in and create an account. You’ll want to do this so that you can save whatever items you add on your wishlist. And from there, you take a pic…
Ideally one in which your hair doesn’t look a hot mess like mine. Luckily the app didn’t judge me too harshly and shortly after uploading my picture, the app asked me which color signature best suited my complexion.
And the options were pretty dead on too. I picked Dark; Cool & Soft Undertones and from there I got a slew of options that would best fit my complexion. And they were spot on too. Not bad, uh? The app also allows you to shop for various beauty products by color.
Most of the product suggestions were high-end brands but that’s okay with me because as much as I love drugstore beauty stuffs, I love Urban Decay, Lancome and Laura Mercier like the next gal. Plum Perfect is a pretty groovy app and I’ll be using it for when I need some inspiration. Sometimes I get in a bit of beauty rut and an app like this will keep me on my toes. I can dig it!

Did you choose your undertones or did the app determine them based on your picture? I have been having problems trying to figure out whether I’m a warm or cool undertone person! By the way, that “Profile” picture of you smiling is the cutest thing ever!
The app chose them! Pretty cool, uh?
