A few weeks ago I received SpaRitual GOLD Flexible Color nail polishes and girl, I was intrigued. First of all, these aren’t like gel polishes. You know, everyone is on the gel nail polish kick but there’s something special about these polishes. This two-step system launched on July 1st and I’m really excited that I got to experience them so soon. I’m not kidding when I tell you that they are really fan-freaking-tastic.
And yeah, I know…I say that about a lot of nail polishes but while others are cracking and chipping on you in a matter of hours, SpaRitual GOLD lasts. And lasts. And lasts.
SpaRitual GOLD promises…
-easy on application and easy off removal
-smudge repairing technology
-dries in under 8 minutes
-self-leveling and correcting
Wait. What? What’s self-leveling? It confused me too until I saw this video AND experienced it in person. If you accidentally smudge the polish, it fixes itself. I know it sounds crazy and bizarre, but I’m not kidding. It works! Of course, this is only applicable to small smudges and dings but I purposely lightly put my finger over a fresh coat of polish and instead of leaving my finger print there, the polish just…bounced back! I know, it’s almost like magic.
But does it last long?
YES! I rocked Mindful (which, by the way, doesn’t chip) for 6 days with only one chip on a finger. Impressive, right? The nail polish stayed shiny for all 6 days, as well.
Mindful is a creamy turquoise that applied nicely and as vibrant and creamy as it was, I found that it needed a third coat. But still, the fact that it lasted so long is what really had me excited.
Last Tango is smokey apple red. It isn’t the most vibrant red I’ve ever seen but I like it because it isn’t IN YOUR FACE red.
Sublime is a dusty baby blue with a ton of gray. Somehow, I found that this one didn’t last as long as the others. I can’t explain why but after only 2 days, it began chipping on several nails. Maybe some shades do better than others?
These polishes aren’t cheap, which I know may discourage a lot of people from purchasing. Each bottle is $18 and in order to get the longevity, you’ll have to also purchase the $18 topcoat. Yes, very expensive! However, if you’re all about long wear nail polishes that actually wear for days and days on end, I’m thinking a few of these are great investment. I’d love to add a few more to my collection. I found long wear polishes so useful while I’m traveling. And the best part? Removal is just as easy as a traditional nail polish. Kudos to SpaRitual for giving us a long wear polish that actually…wears for a long time! I also found that the polishes dry way under 8 minutes. That’s another plus!
