Man. They’ve done it again. And I was one of the lucky few to get a few samples of the new Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks. They aren’t just regular lipsticks, y’all. Yes, I know Urban Decay has given us lipsticks before. What makes these so different?
Why spend $17? Aren’t ALL lipsticks essentially the same? What makes Vice so nice?
Sit down and join me on a beauty mecca through the greatness of the Vice, baby. What you’re seeing are a few of Wende’s favorites and uh, my favorite’s too!
Things You Should Know
- There 100 of these Vice lipsticks. All shades are permanent and sold at UrbanDecay.com and various retailers.
- Retailers include Macy’s, Nordstrom’s, Sephora (they have their own exclusives), Beauty.com and Ulta.
- The lipsticks will have 5 different formulas: Creme, Comfort Matte, Sheer Shimmer, Mega Matte and Metallized.
For my birthday, for the holidays, for just because, I’ll be hinting that Esposo gifts his darling wife some lippies. I’d be okay with keeping an entire stash of Urban Decay lipsticks. Oh! And those formulas, I think it’s important to get an idea of what they do.
Cream – The original: creamy, badass luxury
Comfort Matte – Creamiest Matte
Mega Matte – Super Intense Matte
Sheer – A punch of color with a sheer, shiny finish
Sheer Shimmer – Slightly transparent finish with floating pearl and smooth texture
Metallized – Cream with a high level of pearl
The Metallized lipstick shocked me the most. How about some quick ‘n pretty swatches?
First up is Backtalk. A mauve nude-pink. Not exactly flattering against my skin but I can’t get over how fabulous this formula is. I’m thinking I can hook this baby up with one of their lipliners.
Pandemonium is a bright purple mega matte and obviously it’s my favorite of the bunch. It’s purple! I LOVE a purple lipstick.
Hey hey Big Bang is a metallized bright pink sparkle with just the perfect amount of sparkle.
Another metallized coming back and it’s Conspiracy, a plum-bronze shimmer.
714 didn’t excite me at first glance but when I rolled that baby across my lips…ooooohmigoooodness! This bright red mega matte was first released with the Gwen Stefani collection and while it’s not as cool as I like it, it’s still really pretty. And the formula is fabulous!
Oh, Firebird. Are you freaking kidding me? You’re just going to be THIS fine? I’ve been rocking Firebird a loooooot lately. It’s just such a stunning bright fuchsia cream.
I’ll be doing a slew of more features with these babies and if you’re following me across social media, you’ve probably already seen me showcase these babies in various ways. In fact, the one I’ve been wearing the most? It’s Disturbed!
I am all for vampy shades during all seasons but I’m just in love with how great and smooth the formula on this one is. And since receiving all of these, I’ve actually purchased 3 more. Obsessed ain’t the word, girls. Stay tuned as I contine to feature these lovelies.
