Not gonna lie here, y’all – I am SO behind on cranking this post out and I have no one to blame but myself. The lovely people at Ford were kind enough to provide me with pretty pieces to highlight a very important initiative called Warriors in Pink.
Launched to provide support and conversation surrounding breast cancer, Warriors in Pink has recently celebrated 21 years and they’ve teamed up with Meal Train and Lyft to launch The Good Day Project. This online platform serves so many purposes but their main one is to help organize family and friends to bring meals to loved ones fighting breast cancer. Meal deliveries is one thing but they are going above and beyond by also helping set up errand services and childcare. Because, let’s face it – those battling cancer have so many things to worry about and to remove something as detrimental as food prep for the week can make all the difference in the world.
I am so excited that something like this exists in Orlando, Florida and I can only hope that other cities and states follow suit. Because breast cancer affects so many families (including mine), this mission is so near and dear to my heart and I know that it will continue to thrive and touch as many warriors as possible. If you’re wondering how you can support this cause, there are several ways to do so! One being through purchasing some of the fabulous pieces that Ford Warriors in Pink has. Like this scarf…
…and this hat.
What’s cool about Warriors in Pink is that you get to actually see how much is being donated with each purchase. I always worry about this when I purchase items that are intended to have proceeds sent to research. You can rest easy knowing your money is going to great causes.
