“I mean, these are SO pretty but I don’t wear nail polish anymore.” the stranger to my right uttered as about a half dozen other strangers and I rummaged through the nail polish section at ULTA.
“I know, right?” said another stranger. “Who wears regular polish these days anyway? It’s all about the gel.”
“Me,” I declared. “I wear regular nail polish.”
6 pairs of eyes glanced at me, most with sympathy. I spun on my heels and pranced over to the Clearance section.
It’s true. I still wear regular nail polish. While I love the look and longevity of gel nails, I will never wear them. Every time I give them a chance, they fail me. So no, thank you. I’ll stick with what’s healthier for my nails. And that, my friends…is regular ole’ nail polish.
I find standard nail polish reviews boring. Really, I do. We all know how great the quality of Zoya is, right? We’re well aware of how their creams are usually ALWAYS one coat wonders. Yeah? Okay, soooo…what else is there to do besides spam you with a few lovelies from their Holiday 2018 collection, Jubilee?
Zoya Taryn with Leopard Spots Topper. I’m not sure how I feel about this one just yet.
I love the diversity of this collection. So many to choose from and certainly not your ordinary green/gold/red that most nail polish brands give us every holiday season. The Leopard Spots Topper is a blast from the past (remember crackle) that I’m not really ready to see again but maybe it’ll be more popular among younger nail polish lovers. I’ve never liked how this looks on me so it won’t get much love from me.
Danica and Juniper are my favorites of the bunch but they stain BADLY even with a base coat. I hate when colors I love the most do this to me. The brown that is Kateri is absolutely gorgeous and Zoya continues to blow me away with how perfect their cream shades are. When I mean ONE COAT ONLY, I’m serious. They nail this each and every time.
