I’ve got this issue with candy. I’ve been this way for most of my life. It’s a sugar addiction. Yeah, I know you came here to check out Zoya’s Naturel 3 collection but I have to tell you…swatching this collection made me think of candy. I kid you not.
I had the most intense cravings for all things chocolate and creamy decadent nougat, caramel and ice cream. Never mind that dairy and I don’t even get along. I just…I tell you what, this collection is so deliciously looking.
Are you familiar with Zoya’s Naturel collections? They’ve done these before and I’m such a fan of the untraditional look of creamy tones that are fitting for so many complexions. I’m not going to say nude because uh…most times when brands say “nude”, they’re not talking about skin tones as dark as mine. I’ve got my own descriptive words.
And most will be surrounding candy because…obviously.
Aside from this shade reminding me of my girl Sheena Tatum, Tatum looks like melted vanilla bean ice cream without the vanilla beans. I was shocked at how well this looks against my skin. I’m a fan!
Cathy straight up looks like a grandma shade on me. With a tint of pink, this shade kinda looks like it would work well if I wanted the look of my nail beds with a little umph. I don’t know. It’s weird but I kinda dig it.
If Cathy has a bit of pink, Jill has a dusty rose. This shade is my least favorite of the bunch but I can see the appeal of it for some nail polish wearers.
Debbie is the most unique shade I’ve ever seen. My goodnesss! A plum brown cream? What is this magic you’ve given us, Zoya? I love it! It’s a shade I would have never thought up myself and I love it so so much.
Mary is described as a medium raisin and while it isn’t as striking to me as Debbie, it’s an interesting shade. I don’t know. It looks a bit weird against my skin tone.
Gina is your typical chocolate brown and while we’ve seen lots of shades like this before, we’ve never seen one from Zoya. I can never decide how I feel about these polishes on my nails. It depends on how the light hits them but for the most part, I think they’re okay. But ask me another day and I may tell you something different.
I may be partial to Zoya’s Naturel collections since of the shades is named Brittany but seriously…they’re interesting, right? Definitely something for everyone, striking but subtle. Of course they’re as creamy and opaque as we’ve come to expect from Zoya’s nail polishes and well..they’re just a stunner.
Snag those babies for $10 a pop or get the entire collection for $60 here.
And now for more important questions…what’s your favorite candy?
FTC Disclosure: I received a sample of this collection but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
